I definitely don’t advocate for men to waste a bunch of time bitching about single women. But when you consider how much dick gets thrown at women from the time they turn like 16 years old or whatever, is it really that surprising that society views women that haven’t managed to lock down a decent guy after over a decade of chances as someone who might be a bit incompetent or insufferable?

It’s no different than the way society views a 40-year-old virgin male that doesn’t have an excuse for it. It’s literally the same exact shit. 😄

Hedonism/self-centeredness vs. higher calling and/or greater purpose. This actually applies to both genders (both as those who make judgement and those who are on the receiving end of such judgement). The major exception are the various antiauthoritarian subcultures which tends to praise hedonism and shame greater good, but they're not relevant (so I been told).

For the male version: the difference between the lifelong bachelor who devotes his life to moral virtues vs the hedonistic incel who revel in his self inflicted misery.

Well most women who've made it to 30 are generally single involuntarily.

Nuns and clergy are the only true volcels.

The big difference here is that one group made a choice and are beholden to a code of conduct that's generally difficult/inconvenient to uphold.

The other group is beholden to themselves, has a nebulous set of morals, and generally follows a hedonistic path of least resistance, all while popping off about victimhood, the shitty guys they keep picking, and a myriad of self-diagnosed mental maladies while being one of the most highly educated and emancipated groups of women ever, in history.

For a bunch of women prioritizing your truths and your happiness I sure do see a lot of crippling depression, BPD and body dysmorphia.... #thingsthatmakeyougohmmmmm

I have never seen this. Nothing wrong with being single at 30+, break ups and divorce happen. Being a nun in the modern era does seem dumb though

People falsely view religion and altruism as noble. Nuns are women who sacrifice themselves for god instead of for family and children. That might have something to do with it.

I’m single in my thirties, my pics in my profile. I have never had anyone say anything negative unless it’s when guys hit on me and I tell them that I’m not looking to date anyone. They always seem to get all butt hurt and rude then. I always assumed it’s because they are hurt that they aren’t the exception and don’t like to hear no, but maybe it’s something else. I am interested in viewpoints on that.

Single women stay single for selfish reasons, or because they have problems emotionally committing, or poor judgement, etc. But usually it centers back to some personal defect.

Nuns on the other hand are making an intentional choice to put aside their own personal desires so that they can focus on serving the God and His church. They are making a sacrifice.

One is living recklessly for oneself, and the other is sacrificing themselves for God.

I dont have anything against single women per se…..I have a daughter and if she wants to be single, more power to her…what bothers me is the attitude of women today…they treat men with disdain and contempt…it’s ok to say no if a guy approaches you….what is not ok is to make your rejection a public display into order to humiliate him…also this idea that all men have to be treated as a potential rapist is asesine and unfair

Because they chose to live their lives for their faith on a full time basis. And they live a life of celibacy and service. Many of them work in hospitals, charity events and many other services basically free of charge. That is incredibly honorable to say the least. Nuns will always live their life knowing that they will never be wealthier, have a luxury car, huge house, expensive makeup and a handsome man to fuck. All by choice.

Whereas single woman past 30 are seen as having lived a life of vices (lots of casual sex, drugs, booze) while working on their careers. And then they reach their 30's and want the money and the man. This is not all women, obviously. But there is a perception that women past 30 that are single are seen as self-centered and completely absorbed by their self-interest. Again, that is the perception but it is also true for many women this day in age.

Words have meaning and hate is commonly associated with racial hatred. Something tells me that this is intentional, many women online want to align themselves with victims of racial hatred, in the hopes that saying anything critical about women will be on the same level as bigotry.

Nuns are virgins or maybe n-count of 1-2, and gods appreaciate virgins(or woman who had sex with husband only). I don't think there is any benefit in being a nun for a post-wall, non-virgin single woman. In fact, God doesn't care about them. God cares about married women, women who listen to Him, who married young, and those who got raped and have overcome their trauma in the name of God.

People accept nuns because they are devoted to God and can serve as mentors for Christian or God-fearing women. Society would rather accept a bad wife than a spinster. Even my dad said a deceased daughter is better than a spinster daughter.

How about because they’re virgins (not 304s) and they’re doing it for a higher purpose. There’s a huge difference between a 30 year old career single career women with a 3 digit lay count and a 30 year old virgin nun who doesn’t even post themselves on social media and if they do it’s full covered.
