Instead of figuring out how to recover from this situation, just don't get into it.

(1) Stop asking interview questions like "tell me 3 things...". That's awkward. You wouldn't talk to girls you aren't attracted to like that. She can immediately see that you're not comfortable enough to talk to her naturally, so you're in script-mode.

(2) Stop asking deep questions in the first 10 minutes. You just met her -- you have no reason to give a shit what her hopes and dreams are. She can smell that a mile away too.

What has work best for me in this situation is to keep the conversation going even if he is a part of it. If you stay leading the conversation it shows you are more dominate and she will hopefully see that. Stay cool and remember she was talking to you first.

I like how as this stuff becomes common knowledge, the game adapts. It is not like the line is some magic shazam get laid codeword. Pickup routines are naturally evolving, it is not a rigid science. People develop new ones and learn them from all sorts of sources. Not just the internet - friends, parents, siblings. The more experienced girls had a lot of skullduggery tried on them and know how to deny or play along.

Acknowledge the fact you're using canned lines but then quickly change the subject--it doesn't matter what you say, what matters is carrying the momentum from the initial communication to something more stable.

Actually here's a pro tip, if you see anything on here (or anywhere on the internet for that matter), and you plan on doing it, know going into it, because of the size of the community, chances are it'll either be expired or have a very limited shelf life; this is why most people do not share their true gold online, because they know it's going to get beaten to death and killed. The same thing happened (to a slower degree) with the Game. Guys didn't adapt, and kept using canned shit straight from the book, and within a few months of publication, girls were calling guys out on their shit. Be bold, be better.

The best way I've heard out of a situation where you get caught using various techniques or using scripted routines is a quick frame reversal. Works something like this:

You: who do you know that makes the best spaghetti?

Her: grandma/mom/ whoever

You: well, do you think your grandma invented spaghetti?

Her: no.

You: of course not. She started with the best recipes she could find and made it her own, right? Her: yes

You: well, I didn't invent social interactions/ communicating with other people. What I did do was take what I found to be the best recipes and make it my own. That way you see the best possible me, the same way your grandma makes the best possible spaghetti by making a basic recipe her own.

It may work, or she may just laugh at you. Either way it demonstrates social intelligence, and implies you know a lot about human interaction which demonstrates value.
