I highly reccomend this interview with Harvard medical graduate Dr. Alok Kanojia, as it touches on many issues the men today face. I just wanted to point to one of things he said. From both statistics and his own practice he concludes that over 50% of men commiting suicide have no depression and no history of mental illnesses. It comes down entirely to the fact that they feel rejected by society and feel they have no place for themselves and see suicide as a rational solution.

Considering that majority of all suicides are commited by men I think it is fair to say that men as a whole are facing a serious problem of not being able to find purpose and their own place in life, which likely translates to many issues they bring to the dating market. Especially considering that primary direction for those men to look for a solution to their problems are demagogoues that offer them quick and easy.
