I feel like men get so much slack for what they do in their youth. A man can do drugs, bang prostitutes, do drugs off a prostitute, go to jail, basically be a complete trainwreck in his 20s and as long as he’s doing okay now, women generally dont really care. Hell, George Bush was a “party animal” in his 20s and became President. Trump is a literal rapist and became President.

Whereas for women, if she slept with too many people, boom instant scarlet letter. If she did drugs, instantly done. If she got too drunk once and made a fool of herself, done. If she let some guy fuck her ass while she was drunk, nope totally done for the rest of her life. It doesn’t matter if she’s the most amazing woman in the world now, she’s worthless.

I feel like as men, we need to be a bit more forgiving of what women did when they were between the ages of 16 and 25. It just feels stupid to me that decisions a girl made while she was drunk at 19 are going to affect your decision to be with her now. I’m 30 and still do dumb shit, but as long as I don’t hurt anyone no one really cares. But for women, they make one wrong decision and it’s game over.

I get that we don’t want to hear about it. We don’t want to know that our wife was grinding on some dude at a party 10 years ago and ended up giving him a blowjob. But at the same time, we need to have reasonable expectations that women are going to do things we don’t like when they’re 20 years old.
