I very highly doubt that 25% of women have done a gangbang. I would imagine the percentage is much lower. Now threesomes are probably much more common, especially FFM.

I haven't found stats specifically for "gangbangs", but there are some statistics on threesomes. I'd expect that gangbangs are less common than threesomes.

This study has found that 30% of respondents have had a threesome. The number seems to be really high though, and they do not show numbers separately for men and women.

An older survey shows different numbers and split by gender:

In a 2015 US survey, a significantly larger percentage of men than women responded that they had any lifetime experience of a threesome (17.8 vs 10.3) or group sex (11.5 vs 6.3).

It's not exactly the information you easily share, but I don't think I've known anyone who has admitted to have group sex, men or women. Clearly, I've never done it. I'm pretty sure that my close friends haven't done it, because they barely date and at least one of them is probably asexual. I'm 99% sure my cousins haven't had group sex either, because they've dated monogamously and they have more conservative values around sex.

One in four seems *really* high. And I hang with a pretty sexually adventurous crowd, if with high standards for consent.

I've had a lot of threesomes, and a few instances of larger group sex*... and I don't think I know anyone who has had a gang bang - or at least talked about it. And we tend to chat about these things a fair bit.

Of course, the high standards for consent might be why.

* Group sex can be fun, but few people really think of the geometric constraints involved if you want it actually to be group sex and not everyone breaking up into couples. It often focuses on things other than intercourse for this reason.

Depends on what you mean by gangbang. I'm a polyamorous kinkster. I see and experience lots of wild, crazy things, and I rarely see the a gangbang of more than three people (as in, a threesome), and I don't often see even that. I've seen more people swinging naked from hooks in their skin than I've seen 3+ people gangbangs.

Gay 3+ people gang bangs are not too uncommon where I'm from, but I don't tend to see them, I just know a few guy friends who like to put them together.

That's not to say it doesn't happen, but honestly, the logistics of that kind of sex can be a bit tricky to put together, especially for more safety-conscious women. It's definitely not 25% of women. I'd say maybe 15% of women has done at least one threesome, and maybe 1-5% has done more than that.

Oh I don’t think they’re common at all. I’ve had a much larger than average number of partners and I’ve never been in a situation that would even lead to a “gang bang.” This works as a fantasy for women but most men I don’t find actually like the idea of a bunch of naked men surrounding them as they get off.

I'm married to a man now, but all the group sex I've had in the past (up to 8 people) has been female-only. I'm bisexual and enjoy group sex, but I don't think I'd feel safe enough for group sex with multiple men - I would maybe be open to one man (my husband) being involved, but honestly maybe not even that. Group sex is just better when it's all women imo.

I've also never met a woman who's taken part in a gangbang - I have one friend who enjoys MMF threesomes so I guess if we stretch the definition of gangbang that might count, but other than her, it seems like other women feel similarly to me, regarding the relative safety of group sex with men vs with other women.

I think 25% is an absolutely wild and certainly inaccurate estimate.
