Thing is, we already do this. Men appointed themselves the default human being in business, medicine, tech, government, etc. When we hear the word “people” we think of men. When we hear “someone just tried to...” men. “My landlord...” men. “The House just passed a bill that...” men. “This neighborhood is safe (from men).” “The housing prices in this area are good (for men).” “My boss just told me...” men.

And on and oooon.

I have been doing this lately; not acknowledging/pretending that I don’t even see men around me. I don’t hold the door for them, don’t look at them, don’t nod/smile. Any of those polite niceties just open the door for them to engage and they will take advantage.
