Issues where men are not treated like human beings. Right now, family court and campus kangaroo court, both of which a man can have his entire life ruined based on mindless, impulsive words of a woman.

If I had to pick one, family court. Fatherless homes being accepted as the norm will have lasting toxic damage to men and society in general. Not only does it create generations of problem kids, society is validating the idea that men are of no value within a family unit besides providing money.

Due process for sexual assault adjudication.

Obviously sexual assault is wrong and wrongdoers should be punished, but the current trends run counter to centuries of Western jurisprudence and open the gates for more crimes where innocence must be proven (against a stacked deck of presumed guilt).

I also think the way the family court system is stacked against husbands and fathers is a close second.

For me, my personal one is that whenever Men's Rights are brought up into the limelight in society, they are immediately bashed and brutalized before being shoved to the dark damp corner where no one needs to look at the ugly truths. Infant/child circumcision is a big one for me and it's kinda coupled with the overall issue of how male sexuality is perceived and treated, though that's not so much a rights issue as a social issue. The fact that the information about the functions and attributes of the foreskin exists but so few people know about it is deeply disturbing to me. If people knew about that I think many would look a whole lot differently on the whole thing. The fact of the matter is that the foreskin is functionally the male clitoris which means that male circumcision would be comparable to type one and two FGM.

Conscription and forced military service is another thing that I feel very strongly about personally. A country should have no right to force you to kill other people or serve in any other way than paying your taxes and not hurting other people.

Tech companies and institutions are literally getting positive press for actively discriminating against men.

There is nothing in the entire world that makes me so mad as to get lectured by a woman (with demonstrably worse credentials than my own), whose education was totally paid for by a women in STEM scholarship, who just got back from an all expenses paid trip across the country to a women in tech symposium at MIT, about how awful her struggle is.

There is a finite amount of money and opportunities in my field, and I essentially have zero chance of ever getting them.

It's sexual assault, and the fact that you can't have any discussion about it is real rape culture. And even here on MensRights, you'll have tons of guys being ambivelent, defensive, or supportive of the practice. And women/feminists, if you bring it up, will just say that FGM is worse than MGM, as if it's a pissing contest and only one of them is allowed to be illegal. The rape culture is how everyone just turns a blind eye to this routine, systemic sexual assault. In any other context, if you took a culture aside from the USA or others where it's been accepted... just step back and look at the practice objectively, without feeling the need to defend it for fear of feeling like your own incomplete penis is inadequate... just stop and think about the INSANITY of strapping someone and cutting off parts of the sex organs. It's like something you'd read from the dungeons of the Pol Pot regime.

Circumcision is the main one, but really, the whole range of men's rights issues are just pretty much ignored, and every single one of them is spun into being about women and girls.

Starting at birth, the male from the outset does not enjoy bodily autonomy in the western world like the female does. He can have part of his penis amputated with no consent.

Moving on to childhood, where there's not a man alive who wasn't told "never hit girls"... but boys are fair game. Again with bodily autonomy, sexual assault on boys' testicles is considered funny. It's actually considered a joke in tv, movies, etc. It's the one dependable trope in America's Funniest Home videos.

Onward to school, where there are almost no male teachers, and female teachers have been shown to favor girls and grade boys lower just because they are boys. Boys are considered problems in class more often than not, because of their biology -- they are more active. We don't punish girls for their biology, by expecting them to perform the same levels in gym class... bodies are different, chemistry is different. Testosterone is powerful.

They'll also learn in school about respect, and rape... in the context of boys being rapists. There's places where they put on pretend skits where boys are labelled rapists, so that others kids can boo them... as if all males are rapists. All this does is shame and humilate innocent boys.

Throughout school, boys have been falling farther behind every year. Over 60% of college students, and 55% of med school students, are female. This continues to rise. And yet, the only thing you ever hear with regard to education and gender, is complaints that girls are not voluntarily entering into STEM programs... the problem is not that girls are ahead in every other field, the problem is that there still exists one field that boys are not completely left behind in. The only intent I can see here is to leave males completely as a second class to females. They aren't after equality, they're after domination in every field and aspect. There are girls-only corporate-grant funded programs for robotics, and anything you can think of. I guess Boys aren't interested in robots...

Toward the end of high school, boys will learn that not only are their bodies not their own, with their penises being cut and their testicles attacked with cultural acceptance, but that their LIVES are not their own. They have to sign up for a death lottery in the Selective Service, or else face possible jail, fine, and inability to get federal student loans, federal jobs, etc. Male lives are also considered to be just ancillary to the important lives, when casualties are reported in media. "476 dead, including 21 women"... making special mention of the more important, but less affected, group.

Throughout this time, they will have been bombarded with a never-ending string of commercials, tv shows, etc where the man is just a fat, stupid, bumbling idiot, while the woman is intelligent and puts up with the shenanigens of her idiotic husband because of her magnanimous nature. King of Queens, Yoplait commercials, Family Guy, the Simpsons... it's always a fat, stupid man and a hot, smart woman.

Their health is also not important. Women live on average 7 years longer than men, but healthcare funding is oriented to women, who are already living longer. Hospitals, cancer organizations, etc... Go Red for Women, by the national heart association. The lung cancer society, is targetting women. Most money goes to breast cancer, one of the most survivable. It doesn't matter that men will die younger... just focus on women's health.

When I was in fourth grade, as a child with zero sexual knowledge, sexual drive, anything at all... my teacher reprimanded me for trying to touch a girl's breast. Because I pointed (not touched) and the writing on the shirt and was talking about it. My mom also asked me, in passing, "You wouldn't hit a woman, right?" Well gee mom, I was thinking about it, but now that you mention it, I guess I shouldn't? Like what the fuck, my own mom, knowing me as a gentle person, still questioning me because of my gender. I've taken my sisters to the park, grudgingly, because I knew what would happen (they are quite younger, young enough to be my children)... the women at the park gave me the stink eye the entire time, and even though other kids joined in (on their own, we did not ask), their parents pulled them away.

Men are vilified as deadbeat dads, but are at the same time not allowed to have custody.

Birth to death, every moment as a man, you are told your feelings do not matter, your body is not yours, your life is not yours, you are a rapist in waiting, you are a child molester, a stupid kid, an unfit parent... and through it all, if you try to explain anything at all about how things are for you, you'll be shut down for having the selfish audacity to think of anything except the problems of women. Only misogynists think that other people than women can have genuine issues.

All these are good. The one I find disturbing is the growing trend for boys and the education system. Boys to girls ratio for college here in the West is 40%/60% and it's getting worse. That's incredibly alarming yet absolutely no one bats an eye.

I'd go straight to the heart of all (or most) male issues - they boil down to the vilification and dehumanization of men through systematic fostering of irrational fear of the whole male gender. This widespread and socially acceptable fear is the reason why society thinks it is okay and even better if children are taken away from their fathers, that it is okay or even better if baby boys' genitals be brutally mutilated in an insane subconscious desire to limit and suppress male sexuality across the board. To the pont of claming that being too lazy to teach your son to use soap and water is somehow a good enough reason to mutilate him as a baby... The reason why perfectly healthy boys are drugged with aphetamine analogues in school as a way to subdue and limit their natural male self-expression and activity. This irrational fear of men is the reason why little by little due process is curbed to the point of guys being denied university education based on an accusation that is accepted as holy truth after looking for zero actual evidence, just because a woman "felt afraid". Fear is elevated to cult status and rules societies.

Never succumb to fear, and if someone in your life fears you irrationally, make sure to immediately cut all contact and stay far away from the fearful person. It is best if such fearful persons remain completely alone for as long as it is necessary for them to grow up and find the inner strength to see men as human beings and not just monsters by default. You can't make someone abandon fear just like that, you cannot argue or convince someone to think rationally if they made the choice to be guided by irrational feelings instead. The best you can do is free this person of your presence completely. Such a person needs to see with their own eyes in their own life just what this irrational fear costs them, how treating someone with unjustified fear results in missed opportunities, boredom and above all, obvious existence but alas, unavailability of quality male partners for long-term commitment. Never commit to someone who fears you, because if you do, you're rewarding further dehumanization and villification of all men.

Every time I pull out my dick to take a piss, I'm reminded that my parents paid someone to cut half the skin off my penis. CHILD CUSTODY AND RESPONSIBILITY!! I believe discrimination that men face with regard to the child custody and paternity is a huge problem. If a man fathers a child, even if the woman lies about being on birth control, or the paternity, (in many states if a father accepts that a child is his, even if the later finds this to be untrue he is responsible for the care of the child) he is at the mercy of the mothers choices. This is unfair and based on outdated sexual stereotypes that assume women should be cared for by men!

If the mother decides to have the baby the Man is responsible for the child, however, even if he supports the child, he has very limited access, and the mother is assumed to be the better parent.

However, when a woman becomes pregnant she can have an abortion, or give the child up for adoption or raise it herself with the fathers FORCED assistance. If there was ever an example of inequality this is it.

The continual enforcement of traditional male gender norms, in the face of the dissolution of enforced female gender norms. The only broken bone I've ever gotten in my life was from a woman, but I'm still called spineless when I insist that I'll respond in kind. For me it's fathers rights. We have very few. In a divorce its automatic that a woman gets primary care. Its a fight if you want joint custody or primary custody. If your not married it is even worse. Fathers paying exorbitant amounts of child support. Forcing them out of there Child's life. Or a situation like mine i found out i had a child 16 years ago that was given up for adoption. I wasn't informed of this till a year ago. Now i have a child i will never know. Family court. My brother and I watched our uncle get taken to the cleaners by a cheating whore. Years later, I intimidated my way out of it, but no such luck for him. His XW found out he got a $1 raise. He doesn't work full time as he's still in HVAC school. And she only gets a percentage. He did the math. She's taking him to court for roughly $7. Suicide makes me sad, the treatment of male rape and domestic violence victims pisses me off, the way a woman's word makes a man automatically guilty of rape offends me.

But if we go for what bothers me most, it's custody. It's the fact that when my friends at college found out my brother has primary custody of his son, one girl said, "I hate saying this, but the mother must really be a fuck-up if he has custody," because she knows what the laws are like (after her family used them to their advantage when ensuring her sister's abusive ex-husband would never get custody of their daughter). It pisses me off that what she said was a legitimate thing. She wasn't trying to be mean, she was seriously sorry that it was her reaction.

The biggest one for me is the fact that as a 18 year old male I'm afraid that one day if I become sexually active with a woman and she later regrets it, there's a high chance that I'll be convicted and be federally labeled as a sex offender. All because of consensual sex that she later regrets.

The biggest issue I believe that needs addressing by mens rights (and I understand its unlikely to be fixed) is organising a way to counter the exreme feminist ideology and its effects on society (if you counter the extreme feminist ideology, then issues such as fathers being second class parents, male circumcision etc. would occur as a byproduct) and to do that we need to advocate to the masses, but as we currently are, we are like the "90%" of feminists, the ones who actually believe its about equality... we are silent when it matters or atleast thats what I think (it is changing, mens rights have a slowly growing influence but it isn't fast enough)

Domestic violence/intimate partner violence. It bothers me to no end that male victims of DV/IPV are arrested when they contact the police.

Why do men literally have to be stabbed by their spouse before the police will believe them?

I'd say primarily the issues with Long Term Relationships and the Nuclear family which is encouraged with my faith.

The divorce issues, child custody, and how to even get a prenuptial to stick requires both parties to have independent attorneys is a pretty big one.

Really it's more the legal issues that concern me as they are traps if you don't know what you are getting into. I think that is by and far why my faith only encourages marriage between members to help with that some and big families to compensate.

Lack of an option for men in the case of an unwanted pregnancy. If a condom breaks, antibiotics disable weaken his or her birth control and it happens just as the female partner is ovulating, she can do whatever she wants. Get the Kirby salesman to try out a new attachment, keep it for 12 months then give the thing away, or, of course, ruin the life of the man with whom she was engaging in consensual sex by forcing him to contribute 40% of his income to the cause for the next 18 years of his life.

Second to that would have to be concerns about academia. Women are outperforming men where it comes to undergraduate acceptance, undergraduate completion, and the graduate equivalents thereof. Then, of course, they're given an extra little helping hand when facing a hiring committee, either/both unintentionally and intentionally.

So why on earth is there so much time, money and rhetoric spent on trying to motivate young female students, keep adolescent female students interested, and then help to maintain collegiate+ female students when compared to their male equivalents?

the fact that I could be arrested and potentially lose my job (or lose an employment opportunity with a company I am trying to get hired by that won't hire anyone if they were so much as accused of violence against women amongst other things) for doing nothing if a woman just so happens to decide to accuse me, or if I defend myself from their attacks.

Honestly I don't care about the circumcision issue, some people will, some people won't, both sides will scream about it and hyperbole will flow.

The men's rights issue that bothers me the most is the disparity of equality. It's fine to say that men are treated one way and women another, but you don't reach equality by saying men must be treated worse to treat women better. You don't take away from men to give to women. Instead you raise up the underpriveleged to the same status.

This is also my opinion about most "equal opportunity" provisions. If I'm looking at two applications and I choose the best package then that is fair by every definition. If we need people of different genders/ethnicities/sexes/sexual orientations so that we can take advantage of their diverse backgrounds then cool. Let's call it discrimination, because that's what it is, and embrace it as a useful tool
