Only girls and young women who go for older men are insecure and desperate. There are lots of them (myself at their age) who is disgusted at them because they realize how predatory it is and also find them gross looking. To good portion of teens and young women I bet they find them as disgusting as I did at their age.

Older men are ugly. No one is jealous of the balding/bald, hairy nose, hairy ears, fat ass but somehow has chicken legs older male. They need get new tune. I had a flashback to when I was 15-16 and had major crushes on some early-20-something guys I worked with. Even asked a couple of them out.

One was 20 when I was 15, the other was 23 when I was 16-17. Both firmly rejected me, citing my age as the reason (basically, I was more like a little sister than a potential partner). I was hurt by the rejection at the time (and a little insulted by the ’little sister’ part) but looking back decades later I realize they were doing the right thing.

It explained why they were always super protective of me though - I thought that meant they liked me at the time, turns out they were just genuinely decent guys (it really, really didn‘t take much to impress me as a teenager - show me a little respect and I’d do anything).

In an age gap relationship, I am the older person. We met when we were both adults and developed a relationship out of friendship several years later.

If I had known my bf when he was a child, I would not have any sort of attraction to him what so ever as I would see him more in the sense of a younger child to take care of. I babysat a lot in my high school/college days and I babysat kids that were born around the time he was who developed hardcore crushes. They are sweet kids but I have visceral repulsion in the same way I would have visceral repulsion to someone suggesting I date a direct family member.

In fact, I babysat kids who were only a good three-four years younger than me and as adults have had them make passes at me. While I respect them as adults, I cannot fathom a romantic relationship because of the adult/child dynamic I had with them earlier in their life. It just feels really inappropriate and disgusting. I feel the same way if it was a teacher/student situation too.

Treating young girls like they are fruits to be cultivated and plucked as soon as they ripen is not okay. This is fucking grooming and it's fucking disgusting. I hope these young girls wise up and understand that they don't have to waste their youth on saggy old men.
