For all their talk about wanting to make sure they’re sExUaLLy cOmPaTiBLe on the first date, it’s pretty weird that they are so angry when they aren’t compatible with our standards. Isn’t it best to find out right away if a woman’s standards are too high so they can go find a woman who’s standards are more compatible with them? 🤔
Why are they so mad then? Lol! Scrotes can’t pick an argument and stick to it.
[–]yeahhh22FDS Apprentice 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah what is the point in seeing if you're sExuALLy cOmpaTiBLe upfront if you're not compatible with the woman's standards upfront? It saves them from wasting a sexual trial period on the wWrOnG WoMan! WHAT A RELIEF FOR THEM! On to greener pastures and better women who deserve a sexual trial period!! Makes quite a bit of LoGiCaL sense.

Ugh, wtf is it about dudes not brushing their teeth? Someone told me (happily I might add!), That they didn't brush their teeth for 10 years, and now brush them an average of once a week. 🤢 Someone else had such bad breath I couldn't even think to kiss them, let alone the YELLOW LAYER OF PLAQUE on every tooth. Like, I have some sensory issues, too, I get it. But I always have sugar free mints in the event that it's been more than 4 hours since I've brushed, nevermind talking to and kissing people with 10 year unbrushed teeth? Dafuq?
EDIT: I brush twice a day at most, that's why I use mints throughout the day, because the mint from the toothpaste doesn't last all day.

Lmao, when someone's proud of it, that is a whole other level of baffling. When I was a tween, I had a major crush on a boy in my class. One day, he LOUDLY announced to the people around him (including me), "I've never cleaned my teeth at night, and I never will!" And that's how you instakill a crush, haha. Never had the slightest feelings toward him again. I really hope he has better hygiene habits now that we're grown up.

This is legit, I have taken care of my teeth pretty well my whole life but in high school I didn’t floss every day. By 22 it caused me to need two root canals and several fillings and this was with frequent brushing and mouthwash. I can only imagine what neglecting your teeth for that long does eventually

My cringe story?
I had been talking, video chatting, and texting with a cool guy every day for 2 months. Thought I really found someone special. Turns out he hid his real life.
Scrote made me drive 6 hours to meet him (I was moving to his city in the upcoming months and needed a little vacation from work anyways, this is how I justified it at least).
He slept until 5pm so I couldn't get a hold of him to confirm/tell him I was on my way until I was already halfway there. I get there and his place looks like a frat house after a party, even though he's in his 30s. And then less than 24 hours later he tells me I need to go back home because he had a "work" thing come up. I didn't even get an APOLOGY.
I drive 7 hours back after not even being there a full day. HE PAID FOR NONE OF MY GAS. Just to find out later that night on IG that he was on a date with two other girls who traveled to see him.
When I say FUCK men, I mean it.

I once had a guy who had been flirting up a storm ask me to come over to his place. I was at an event a five minute drive from his place but I had a lot of gear I needed to haul to my car late at night a good distance from the event, so I told him I'd come over if he came and helped me carry all my shit down the dark public streets to my car.
He said nope and told me he'd leave the door unlocked and I could just come in and crawl into bed with him.
Yeah.... no. I went straight home.

So here’s the cringey story:
He was started out so chivalrous, complementing me, saying he would treat me to his cooking, take me out, etc. (Edit: and offered guitar and foreign language lessons 🙄)
I made arrangements to video chat. We do for less than a minute. Then he excuses himself. He refuses to video chat again.
He wanted me to stay at his apartment and that he had no intention of sleeping with me. I said this was risky on my end, plus it was pricey for me to travel.
He promises to pay for me transportation, and that he would pay for a hotel near his place. He then says that “we” could upgrade to a high end hotel because he wanted me to have “a special day”.
I tell him I really don’t feel comfortable going all the way to his city to visit, and share a hotel, without even talking to him over the phone first. If he refused to talk then I said I would have to cancel.
His reply: “Do I look like a scary person?” I tell him I have no reason to trust him as I know almost nothing about him. He then wants to cancel.
I remembered that I wanted to see the city anyway. I figured that maybe, just maybe, there was some misunderstanding. He comes from a very different culture and all. So, I told him I could pay for my own hotel. His reply: “this means you don’t want to share the bed with me.” Then he goes silent.
[–]PenneyPenceFDS Newbie 98 points99 points100 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
I’m so glad that you listened to your gut. Just be careful with how you characterize low effort behavior so that you are not ignoring easy to spot red flags. Compliments and future faking about cooking and taking you out communicated through text messaging is not “chivalrous”. A strange man inviting you to an isolated area on a first date, whether it is his apartment or a hotel, is dangerous. And who cares what culture he is from? What do you want? If you want a video chat, a phone call and a proper date, it doesn’t matter what his background is. If he is refusing to participate in the bare minimum, block and delete is the best remedy.
[–]ro0ibos2FDS Newbie 67 points68 points69 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I was naïve, hopeful, and maybe a bit lonely. I tend to be a bit too trusting towards people who come off as nice, and have found myself in situations where I’ve been vulnerable. It might be a self-esteem issue. It’s something I’m working on. That’s why I’m subscribed here.

[–]skadiiisFDS Newbie 97 points98 points99 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
I wish I could say I was surprised that cat ladies are vilified but it is what men hate the most. A woman who has wised up to the fact that men will never emotionally fulfill her, it will always be give give give with no reciprocation bcuz the average man is not wired to love and give the way a woman is. Why wouldn't a woman choose the company of pets?
I had a science teacher in middle school, about 50 years old. She had a masters in biology and spent her time caring for exotic birds, lizards, etc. Learned a lot from her. Even my classmates at our age were making fun of her for being single. I never joined in but I never said anything either, I wish I had. The only reason women are expected to have a man is because it benefits men. Period. They say every woman is an awful gold digger but deep down they NEED us. And who wants to be needed as opposed to wanted? Go the animal route!
[–]KatMagusFDS Newbie 49 points50 points51 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I had a meme once with 2 kitties chatting. “My person is very well. What’s up with the ‘crazy cat lady’ thing? Other kitty: “a woman’s worth is usually based upon marriage or children. It’s a way to devalue her.”
Sad but true.
44 year old free for the first time, proud cat lady/rescuer here. My kitties will never deceive me (except when snaccs are involved), hurt my soul or feelings with their harsh words when I’m not the “typical submissive Asian” (YES I’ve heard that mess before MANY times) bangmaid, give me truly unconditional love and cuddles.
It’s where I’m supposed to be and what I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve already unwittingly mentored a few young ladies. You should have SEEN the look on their faces when I said “nope. No kids. No man. Just me and the kitties. You know, you don’t HAVE to be married or have kids if you don’t want. Just have a way to support yourself and pay your bills. And if you want to kick someone’s ass, do it now. Before you’re tried as an adult.” ;)

And they don't "need" one of us, they "need" all of us. They oooonly behave "committed"ly to a woman because otherwise they won't have consistent attention and benefits from a woman. It's an act.
[–]skadiiisFDS Newbie 45 points46 points47 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes. Men have terrible attention spans and a bad case of "grass is always greener." Idc what they say, they would love to be in harem or sister wives type situations but luckily most women at least have the requirement of exclusivity so if you want the "gf/wifey experience" you've gotta at least pretend to give it back. So that's what they do, pretend.
At least I know my cat loves me! And my fish, while not capable of love, are a rewarding project as I'm constantly learning new things about them.

The stereotype probably came from those TV hoarding shows where firemen would open a door and tons of cars would stream out. Thing is that’s rare but for some reason it stuck that single women were hoarding cats and living in their own filth. Not even gonna point out how men live in days old underwear at a time but I digress And if anything that “sUbmIsSiVe AsiAn WoMAn” thing is crock.
