There are plenty of addicts and criminals out there who say: "My life, my choice."

In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the narrative they have to activate in their mind in order to lose empathy for the people they're hurting with their actions.

Why march for those who have clearly lost judgment and more importantly empathy for the consequences of their actions? Society, as a whole, needs to help them get out of the sunken place instead.

I wish sex workers would understand, it's not just "their body, their choice". There are moral and ethical implications and knock-on effects of the work they're doing that is damaging trust, relationships, marriages, children, gender relations and the very foundation of society.

It's like how second-hand smoking impacts everyone in the house. Yes, it's "your body, your choice" to smoke, but your actions are going to impact the world around you and increase their chances of getting cancer.

It could also be "your body, your choice" to drink and drive, but drunken driving is going to cause accidents and severely harm other people around you.
