And I bet this will just blow away in a couple of weeks, just like Riley Reid's confession

[+]Stevegracy1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (115 children) | Copy Link

I must have missed that one

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 826 points827 points828 points 7 years ago (114 children) | Copy Link

She admitted to raping a 14 year old who was telling her no over and over again which she ignored because she was horny.

It was pretty blatant. She even called it rape.

End result was her career continued exactly as it would if she hadn't said anything.

[+]Stevegracy1 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (93 children) | Copy Link

Jesus

[–]Star-the-wolf 203 points204 points205 points 7 years ago (92 children) | Copy Link

She was 15 at the time I believe

[–]BleedinSkull 287 points288 points289 points 7 years ago (89 children) | Copy Link

I mean at least it wasn't pedophilia but... it was still rape.

[–]Star-the-wolf 222 points223 points224 points 7 years ago (88 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. But people will ignore it because “women can’t rape, it’s the men who are pigs”

[+]Cazken -141 points-140 points-139 points 7 years ago (71 children) | Copy Link

That ain’t “rape”. I believe women can rape but this isn’t what I’d call rape at all, considering he didn’t push her off or break up with her afterwards. They both knew he wanted it and she really just pushed his boundaries.

[–]Denyul_Nigh 62 points63 points64 points 7 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link

Say that to someone out in public (especially that last sentence) but this time switch the genders and see what happens...

Also, many victims feel powerless and develop learned helplessness, so it’s no fucking surprise he didn’t push her off or break up with her

[+]Cazken -94 points-93 points-92 points 7 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think you can just switch genders and say that it’s the same thing. Power dynamics are quite different. Riley Reid is like 5’2 trust me bruh he wasn’t powerless, he wanted it.

[–]Denyul_Nigh14 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I’m not saying it’s the same thing in regards to this scenario, in fact just the opposite. If you told someone “it’s not rape because she didn’t break up with him or fight back while she was raping him, she wanted it” then you’ll be crucified by everyone you say that to. If a celebrity said it then the media would have a field day and call for their head on a stake.

Also, size means nothing when it comes to abuse, you can go online and see videos where women abuse their boyfriends/husbands and they don’t retaliate back. Abuse is nothing to belittle someone about, just because someone is physically able to do something doesn’t mean they believe they can or have the will to do something. Abusive women break their men and make them subservient, and they can do whatever they want to them without fear of being retaliated against. Please don’t speak on matters you obviously know nothing about, you only make yourself look ignorant and absolutely stupid

[–]Cazken-33 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh well. I don’t really care. Fact is, if he was actually raped and afraid of a little skinny 5’2 girl, he’s a little bitch.

[–]Denyul_Nigh17 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You’re a sad individual... abuse is abuse and you obviously have no clue as to what it does to a person. I urge you to go speak to victims of abuse and learn why they didn’t do anything about it and what goes through their mind, otherwise keep your mouth shut about matters you obviously know nothing about

[–]iTapped11 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I don't think he should speak to abuse victims. They've had enough abuse for one lifetime.

[–]SwordfshII12 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That’s fucking sad bruh ahahahah. Get a life my man

[–]SwordfshII11 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So you admit you are pathetic?

[–]jameswalker43-4 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The moral judgments about each other (like pathetic) are extremely fast, sometimes it’s worth giving them a second thought. There is probably a human being on the other side with whom we might share a lot in common despite all the differences. Correct me if I’m wrong. Sending you some kind wishes.

[–]Keenin4552 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

That’s fucking sad bruh ahahahah. Get a life my man

Sorry but you've been burned. There's no coming back, friend.

Just leave before it reaches beyond the third degree.

[–]Soulless359 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

U can call him a little bitch. That's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But the fact is the guy was raped.

[–]Cazken-1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yea I mean if we define it as no verbal consent then maybe.

[–]Soulless359 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He said no. If he said no it's rape. It's that simple.

[–]WakeAndVape7 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Maybe you're such a macho man that this could never happen to you, but why shouldn't those men who are "little bitches" also have rights? Shouldn't the strong stand up for the weak?

[–]mondo1351 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you?

[–]jameswalker431 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

The moral judgments about each other (like stupid) are extremely fast, sometimes it’s worth giving them a second thought. And it’s easy to outrage when we don’t see each other faces. Have a good day to you all. PS What are you grateful for today?

[–]ev7106 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It's a troll, ignore him guys. The more you talk to him thats what he wants

[–]abatoire3 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It a question of intoxication. If a woman is intoxicated then she cannot give consent. Men would be accused of rape if they proceeded. Whereas it doesn't seem to apply the other way around, I mean take (whatever that blonde 'comedian' is called) for example, she admitted raping a guy in college and now demasculates him in a comedic act. That's pretty messed up.

Consent for men appears to come from having an erection (which can be forced with drugs). This defence is no better than male rapist claiming that because the woman was wearing sexy underwear on a night out she was asking for it.

[–]mookmill3 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Saying “no” is a very clear indication that he didn’t want it , you fucking idiot.

[–]jameswalker43-5 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You can have a different opinion. Practice kindness all day to everybody and you will realize you’re already in heaven now; words like idiot creates distance from the heaven. Greetings

[–]the3count2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh cool you were there? Tell us all about it man

[–]RacinRandy83x2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Pressure is still pressure. If he does push her off even after saying no she spreads a rumor around school that he’s gay or can’t get it up or anything she wants and everyone makes fun of him

[–]Squash22452 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

“ Did you see the way she was dressed officer, she clearly wanted it! “

[–]R1ntezukaHFE 20 points21 points22 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

heres a little trick to see if what your saying is disgusting: swap the gender/race with the other does it sound disgusting now? if yes you said something disgusting and should feel fucking ashamed.

that aint rape. I believe men can rape but this isn't what id call rape at all considering she didn't push him off or break up with him afterwards they both knew she wanted and he just pushed her boundaries

sounds a lot worse huh.

[+]Cazken -15 points-14 points-13 points 7 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Here’s an interesting fact : if you change genders then the whole scenario is different.

[–]R1ntezukaHFE8 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

how are you this cognitively dissonant, not even trying to meme or anything how do you maintain this sort of mental gymnastics to not only miss the point but also prove the point that double standards are ingrained in our culture to the point you don't even have the self awareness to realize it.

[–]Stevi1001833 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

He's an edgy child.

[–]Cazken-2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No I realize it, I just think it’s there for the right reasons.

[–]R1ntezukaHFE6 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

so you believe that we should enforce harmful double standards because "theyre there for the right reasons" by believing that that makes you at the very least, sexist and racist and not in the shitty buzzword sense. you believe that men cannot be raped etc etc. that is at the very least disgusting.

[–]Kingenisis5 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No it’s not. You fucks are the reason we exist

[–]Alter-P1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You are wrong but okay

[–]Cazken0 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]qawaki10 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Dude, take your head out of your ass right fucking now.

[–]Shawn4114 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Maybe because its a young teenager vs a fucking adult you damned idiot. Women usually don't fight back due to fear of harm and it's the same thing here.

[–]jameswalker432 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I think every one of us does something silly, something which makes us look like idiot from time to time, but it does not necessarily mean it’s our personality trait.

[–]Cazken-2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What are you even saying? explain your first sentence. Riley Reid is one of the tiniest girls ever hahaha, fucking fear of harm lolol

[–]Peter_Principle_4 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

So you defend yourself forcefully. Maybe you leave a mark. She calls 911 and tearfully begs the dispatcher to send their burliest cops because you DV'd her. Maybe for fun she'll toss off a false rape accusation. Now what?

[–]Slayer_Fan_6664 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Ya, you're honestly fucking retarded.

[–]Squash22451 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

[–]Kravego3 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Dude you are always on here trying to police people's language. Online. In a discussion forum.

Just fuck off. Saying "fuck you" to a rape apologist is not only allowed, but should be encouraged. There isn't a "beautiful human being" on the other side of the internet. There's a rape apologist. This is not a mere difference in opinion.

Read the actual post of hers instead of some dude’s comment, little dummy

[–]Keenin4551 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Listen, child, this is a place for grown ups.

Your insults have no effect on me because you're a young TWEEN who acts like they know everything in the world (very typical by the way) when, in reality, you don't know shit outside of your school's playground.

We can go at this forever if you'd like to be made to look even smaller than you are in the whole thread.

Or you can go home and take this little exchange as a learning experience.

Either way, you aren't aware of the nuances on the subject you're debating, and I describe your actions as "debating" very loosely.

[–]Cazken0 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Smaller? I got 100’s of offended little bitches identical to you replying to me. Couldn’t care less, really. You sound sad. Hope you find something better to do, “grown up”.

[–]Keenin4551 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Smaller? I got 100’s of offended little bitches identical to you replying to me.

And in every post, they throttle you so easily. Wonder why that is?

Couldn’t care less, really.

Yet here you are, a snotty little brat desperate to be edgy so you can brag to your friends about how much of a bad-ass you are.

You sound sad.

No I think the sad person is you.

Hope you find something better to do, “grown up”.

Hey, I'm not the know-nothing going into threads and invalidating male rape victims.

So yeah, who's the sad one now?

[–]Cazken0 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

You. Ahahahah

[–]Keenin4551 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Oh well, you'll learn.

Once you've left the world of school and mom and dad decide you've reached the age where you should now live on your own, the real world is going to whip you like the little puppy you are.

[–]DJ-Roukan 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sort of like the male rapist saying "she asked for it?"

Are you really going to try to sling that hash?

[+]VictorBM901 points 7 years ago [recovered] (14 children) | Copy Link

If a woman gets sex with a man by pointing a gun at him or through blackmail, yeah you may call it a rape. Otherwise, there's no way. Men are stronger and intellectually superior than women, if just by yelling or force a dude is "raped" by a woman he is not a real man.

[–]MalyceAforethought 48 points49 points50 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

As a male bodied human who was raped in a way that you haven't mentioned, let me tell you that you can fuck right the hell off with that toxic bullshit.

[–]Slayer_Fan_666 18 points19 points20 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"not a real man" lmao fuck off ya bloody cunt, this is the internet, nobody gives a shit about your ignorant fuckin opinion.

[–]VictorBM90-21 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

If nobody gives a shit why responding? Why so mad? Low testosterone levels I bet. Have a good day!

[–]MindlessElectrons 35 points36 points37 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

This is the toxic masculinity that needs to be gotten rid of.

[+]VictorBM901 points 7 years ago [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

As I can see this sub is nothing more than a "masculine" version of feminism. Weak and fragile soyboys, with no balls or pride, just crying babies full of victimism. How can you advocate for man rights while yell shit like "toxic masculinity"? Pathetic.

[–]Slayer_Fan_66612 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No, you're just a god damn moron who thinks that their always right and uses the term "Soy boy" to make himself feel better. Fuck off to somewhere else there, bud, wouldn't wanna catch the radiation levels being emitted from your sheer amount of stupidity.

[–]StrangeInsight3 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I hope one day you learn to view possibilities beyond your own ego. Maybe being drugged, robbed, and then forced to pay a lifetime of child support might give you a modicum of empathy.

[–]VictorBM90-2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Throughout the history people always mounted the strong horse. Those who say things like "toxic masculinity", those who don't know the difference between fragility/empathy, those who are led by emotions, and of course, grow up men who are rapped by women, are the weakest horses on earth. And I'm not one of you and that's why you don't like me. But since I'm not a woman or a mentally weak boy who live in needs of social approval or attention, you can downvote as you want, I don't care and wont change my mind.

[–]StrangeInsight2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

What's interesting is the level of assumption you assume to maintain your own fragile ego. A strong man helps himself, a stronger person helps others. If you're only strong enough to see the world through your own views, never letting yourself be wrong, you learn nothing. Enjoy ignorance. And your superiority. It isn't earned. In truth, you're a coward

[–]jameswalker431 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I know people get angry sometimes… But hurtful generalisation or invectives limit our perspective. Love doesn’t. Love.

[–]VictorBM90-1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

No one brings anything to prove that I was wrong. And I have the data to back some the things that I wrote. But if you are able to show that I'm wrong, sure I will change to become better. But that does not happened, and as I said I won't change my mind just because a group is yelling me to do so. You can call names and offend it won't change me. If you use the reason, well that's another story. But unfortunately, for the most, the time for reason has gone a long time ago...

[–]Justadownvoteforyou1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Take a step back, this strong horse has an opinion and is trying to communicate. First time is the hardest, don't mind the smell.

[–]super_zooper1 point 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Well, let’s see. That’s because there IS such a thing as “toxic masculinity” as well as healthy masculinity, just like there’s such a thing as “toxic femininity” and healthy femininity.

Until she has a creditable accuser come forward saying she raped him, then it was just ramblings. She deserves the benefit of the doubt, even when she says stupid shit.

At the very best she thinks it's hilarious to joke about raping someone. That would be though to MeToo a male celebrity.

[–]UrethraFrankIin -3 points-2 points-1 points 7 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree that no one should be raped, but don't you think it's worth mentioning that she was like 15? When you just mention his age it sounds like an adult porn star raped a kid and just talked about it like nbd.

Edit: lol ok then? You know I'm right

[–]super_zooper 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Her age doesn’t justify her actions. Rape is rape regardless of her age at the time. Whether she was 15, 25, or 95 she raped a 14 year old boy who said “no” multiple times.

[–]UrethraFrankIin 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you arguing that there's no difference between an adult raping a 14 year old and a 15yo raping a 14yo? Because I already stated that rape is wrong in and of itself.

u/5th_Law_of_Robotics literally answered this very question in the second reply to my comment. Here it is for you:

She admitted to raping a 14 year old who was telling her no over and over again which she ignored because she was horny.

It was pretty blatant. She even called it rape.

End result was her career continued exactly as it would if she hadn't said anything."

what the fuck.

[–]rottnpitts 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I think the reason people found it acceptable to laud Bobbitt was because it came out that he would regularly abuse and anally rape her so badly that the neighbours had claimed they heard screaming through the walls. Bobbitt claimed to be traumatised, and although she did it while he was asleep (not self defence) I think that’s why she got off lightly.

There was a similar case in the U.K. that’s recently been reopened, and the wife bludgeoned her husband to death with a hammer. She served quite a few years, but her sons got her case appealed and she’s getting out I think. Severe abuse can make someone snap.

[–]killardawg 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I'm not victim blaming but I've learnt from own experience that as long you have reasonable ability to leave and call the police, it's better to do that. While her actions understandable, shouldn't be hailed as anything but weakness on her part, she was just perpetuating sexual violence. Not like I think she deserves to go to jail forever, or he deserved to get his dick cut off (if I was raped I'd feel like that I'd be cool with the perp having going through that because I'm not perfect). So the truly fucked up are these assholes monetising a horrid Aesop's fable.

[–]rottnpitts 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nah I totally agree that it’s not something we should be hailing as an appropriate response or funny, since these people seemed to think it was hilarious at the time. It’s a horrible situation all round, and he’s lucky he got it reattached.

Obviously we have a justice system for a reason, so we can’t just start taking shit into our own hands. I think in your right mind it’s easy to think about calling the police, but I’m not sure how it would be if I was in that situation. It probably does things to your head, you know?

I definitely think they were wrong to make fun of it and laugh at the guy, as horrible as what he did was. No part of the situation is amusing or righteous.

[–]killardawg2 points 7 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

I totally understand it's not easy to make the obvious choice. I was living with an abusive asshole for 2 years (my brother). I totally can see how people can get trapped. But when I finally did get out of there, it wasn't by choice and not because I had completed my own journey of self discovery. Funny he stole my one chance to feel powerful by not giving me a choice when I said I was moving out.

I'm not saying I've been raped, but I can't see this as a form of empowerment at all. Empowerment is being able to say that you are resilient to the world, not just retaliation to hurt. I always feel that I missed out on being the best version of myself in a certain way by not being able to completely escape within my own power and because I had to go roll in the mud with the beasts.

[–]alrightcool123 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don’t like Lorena but if you think calling the police is a solution to preventing crime I don’t think your experience counts for much.

[–]no_stopping25 61 points62 points63 points 7 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

The problem definitely isn't a racial one. It's a financial one, and maybe a gender one. The fact that rich people have a tendency to buy their way out of prison isn't anything new. Really we're starting to see more of them get locked up if anything. I don't see how it's racial though. Bill Cosby, Darren Sharper, and R Kelly are recent examples of rich black men facing justice. I would say a man in the same situation as Cardi B would probably face some sort of legal trouble so we will see what happens. Hopefully something is done

He also began entertaining, and approving of the sentiments of the Deacons for Southern Defense, and Robert F Williams, and their ''take up a gun'' stance on civil rights. Both of them were just as famous in the 60s as MLK, but no one wants anyone to know that now.

History:
''Robert F. Williams, president of the local branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Monroe, North Carolina, became embroiled in a 1959 controversy surrounding remarks he made following the acquittal of a white man accused of attempting to rape a black woman. An article appearing in the 7 May 1959 New York Times claimed that Williams had asserted that the failure of the courts demanded that African Americans “meet violence with violence.… We are going to have to try and convict these people on the spot” (“N.A.A.C.P. Leader Urges ‘Violence’”). Martin Luther King condemned Williams’ comments, sparking a debate between the two leaders on the efficacy of nonviolence.

Born in Monroe, North Carolina, in February 1925, Williams was the grandson of a former slave. Through his grandmother’s tales and political observations, he was made aware of racial injustice at an early age. As a young man Williams went north to find work. During World War II he was drafted into the Army and served 14 months. He returned to Monroe and married Mabel Robinson in 1947. During the next several years Williams enrolled in various college programs. Unable to secure a job, Williams enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1954, where he was an outspoken opponent of racial segregation in the armed forces. His candor concerned the Marines, who placed Williams under investigation and gave him an “undesirable” discharge.

In 1955 Williams returned to Monroe with a renewed vigor for race relations. He was hopeful about the May 1954 Supreme Court decision in Brown v. Board of Education. “I was sure that this was the beginning of a new era in American democracy,” Williams said (Tyson, 73). With membership dwindling in the Monroe NAACP branch, Williams got involved with the organization and was elected president. In 1956 news of the Montgomery bus boycott bolstered Williams’ spirits. He called those involved with the bus protest the “patriots of passive revolution” (Tyson, 78). Addressing those who attempted to stifle the revolution in Montgomery, Williams quipped: “Has an American no right to walk when to ride would degrade his dignity? Has our beloved Republic reached the stage that the jails have no room for criminals, because they are filled with liberty-loving citizens whose only crime is that there voices cry out for freedom?” (Tyson, 78).

From 6 members at the beginning of Williams’ term, the Monroe NAACP branch grew to 121 members in late 1959. After his controversial statement calling for armed retaliation against racial injustice in May 1959, NAACP Executive Secretary Williams found himself suspended from his post by Roy Wilkins. Williams unsuccessfully appealed his suspension to delegates attending the group’s national convention in July.

In King’s address at the July convention he reaffirmed his commitment to nonviolence: “We all realize that there will probably be some sporadic violence during this period of transition, and people will naturally seek to protect their property and person, but for the Negro to privately or publicly call for retaliatory violence as a strategy during this period would be the gravest tragedy that could befall us” (Papers 5:248). The press quickly seized on “The Great Debate,” and Anne and Carl Braden’s Southern Patriot published King’s and Williams’ views on the role of violence in the struggle for integration in early 1960.

In 1961 a representative of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference was sent to Monroe to investigate the racial situation there and to support the early Freedom Rides. When King declined an offer from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee to participate in the rides, Williams sent King a scathing telegram: “No sincere leader asks his followers to make sacrifices that he himself will not endure. You are a phony.… If you lack the courage, remove yourself from the vanguard.… Now is the time for true leaders to take to the field of battle” (31 May 1961).''

Searching: mlk robert f williams ... , ... will fill your screen with fascinating things.
There's a book or two about the Deacons.

'' Williams' ideas influenced the Black radicals who came after him later in the sixties--Malcolm X, the Deacons of Defense, the Black Panthers and many others. This new film's importance lies in not just exposing a new generation of fighters to the important legacy of Robert Williams but also in shedding new light on some of the important political debates of the civil rights era.

Those who want to know more about his life should read Radio Free Dixie: Robert F. Williams and the Roots of Black Power.''

[–]no_stopping25 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's just another way people get divided. It's a real shame. And the mentality comes from people in every race unfortunately. Look on twitter, you can pretty much say whatever you want about white people, Christians, and men. However, people that criticize other religions, races, or women often times get their accounts suspended or banned. No person is better than the other is this scenario, but I think it's very strange that prejudice is allowed in some instances but not in others. In reality I would say you're right, the only people oppressing anyone is the upper class, and money has no race, religion, or gender.

[–]XxTyraelxX 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep - saw this yesterday.

Second time I've seen someone get up and say "I don't hate/dislike white dudes."

What's really weird is that he says:

"It really is one of the best greatest pieces of this story is feeling like we are in this time — a renaissance has happened and proven the myths about representation in the industry are false," he said.

Then immediately follows up with:

"I don’t see myself casting a white dude as the lead in my movie," Peele said during an appearance at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Hollywood. "Not that I don't like white dudes. But I've seen that movie."

Like, I saw the nutty professor when I was a kid so I guess I don't need to see anymore "black movies" because, after all, a movie is just the color of an actor's skin.

So much facepalm.

What about them? I said rich people can buy their freedom. And these aren't even recent examples, Chris Brown's assault on Rihanna happened a decade ago. And OJ's trial was in the 90s. Are you saying these men got away with it because they are black? OJ certainly used the fact that the prosecutor of his case was a racist to his advantage, but more importantly, he used to wealth to build a dream team defense team. There is no way you can argue that OJ Simpson would not have gotten life in prison if not for his wealth.

[–]Bullmanes -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

> To be fair how often do rich white people face justice?

To be fair, all the fucking time. Martin Shkreli, Martha Stewart are both rich and went to jail. Bernie Madoff will be in jail the rest of his life. Kevin Spacey has been charged and will see jail time. Harvey Weinstein will see jail time. Both execs who ran Enron went to jail. Tomee Lee went to jail for 6 months for domestic assault, even after he was rich and famous.

This myth that rich people or white celebrities "get off easy" is a total urban legend that is backed up by zero data.

[–]Azure_Triedge 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nothing to do with being black. Just rich people in general. Idk why people can’t realize it’s not race that is favored in society but money

[–]kramatic 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You can just say "rich people". Race has nothing to do with it, it's all about money. The perception comes that it's exclusive to black people because a lot of the rich white guys getting away with crimes are businessmen that the public aren't interested in, while the black guys getting in trouble are famous.

"put molly in her champagne, she aint even know it, took her home and enjoyed that, she aint even know it"

Yeah he should be treated just like cardi b and both should at the very least have their careers ruined. Dunno if Rick Ross still has a career though.

I don't. I haven't heard any of his music for a quite a while. Sorry if me not knowing your favorite rapper is still making music or not shocks you.

You probably shouldn't speak on Hip Hop then. His last album was one of the best ones of that year. He's only taken a year break since then.

[–]manbrasucks 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

When did I speak on hip hop? I literally said I didn't know about it. What part of "Dunno if he still has a career" shows any kind of knowledge on the subject of his career?

[–]bigkyrososa -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

It sounds incredibly condescending. Especially when you consider how most of this sub isn't fond of black people/black culture.

Apologies if I misinterpreted your tone.

[–]Vault21_ -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Saying something in a song isnt thr same as actually doing it. Rick Ross's career shouldn't be ruined because what's said in a song

[–]manbrasucks 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Relevant.

Meh. I didn't say we can prove it in court and don't expect jail time. That said, it's tacitly admitting he did it and should be tacitly punished by people not supporting him financially.

People could say the same shit about Cardi B. "Saying something on stream for street cred isn't the same as doing it".

All I want is equal treatment. Treat them both the same, unless actual evidence comes forward that proves thing one way or the other.

Finally he never denied doing it. He just said "That's not rape" when asked about it.

[–]Slackslayer 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean, only about killing people which we all know to be a nonissue

[–]bhullj11 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except Bobby Shmurda I guess lol.

Actually, hold that thought. Smurda releases a very popular music video bragging about gang ties and what not and then the cops go in and bust him for illegal weapons and stuff. Cardi does much worse but the cops probably won’t investigate at all.

[–]macaryl95 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Then the 1% gets arrested for murder.

[–]Dbagg 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s not a defense for her behavior, only a reminder that we should hold ourselves to a higher standard.

If I slap you in the face and tell you, “People get slapped all the time” does it change the wrong I did?

[–]GendhisKhan 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh yeah it's a wank defence. Counter to it is easy too with Shmurda

[–]malbolshia 108 points109 points110 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He should file a lawsuit.

Happened to Cosby, Spacey, Kavenaugh.

If men can be sued for sexual issues that happened years ago and lose, then Cardi should face a lawsuit as well.

[–]CRZR_ 21 points22 points23 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If something happens to her that'd be nice tbh

[–]macaryl95 11 points12 points13 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is men are sued for things that happened years ago. When many of the women are clearly in an alright state of mind, and it may or may not have happened. Basically victim glorification or a cash grab. Who the fuck needs money over rape anyway? Then you got guys reporting right after it happened. When their life is substantially worse. When they want justice they can never have. What you describe sounds like equality, or rather eye for an eye, but what we need is recognition in the first place.

[+]pradbarrage1 points 7 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Some women do, sure, but not all women. I bet you wouldn't like it if I said that 'men ruin lives on lies less than that'. Plus, when did it become 'believe all men'? Cardi B did say that she drugged and robbed men, and it's quite possible that that man was one of the victims if what she said was true. But except for his word and the fact that he has pictures of him and her at the same strip club, there is absolutely no evidence that she did that to him. You shouldn't have such a double standard if you expect people to not have a double standard when it comes to men.

[+]USPropagandaFor1001 points 7 years ago* [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

Yes there is evidence. We have a person who can place his time and location with cardi b and we have that guys story.

I’m not sure if you are familiar with “evidence”. You may want to look into whatever you think evidence is, and what you think not evidence is.

[–]killardawg 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You have circumstantial evidence and an unreliable eye witness to the crime. Also I dont think her confession is enough to charge her since she can just say it's part of her branding. If there's no money trail to follow and with strippers it'd be hard anyway. The only way this case would work is if like 15 men were to stand up as such in Cosby case. But even then they'd probably never report the crime so I dont think it'd work.

She claims that she regrets all that shit and it's why she doesn't put that into her music, unlike male rappers, but most of those guys likely didn't do the shit they claim and, frankly, that content is why rap has now fuelled gang activity instead of trying to deter it like back in the early 90's. Even old school rappers around today don't know what happened.

Heh. And people wonder why MGTOW is growing...

[–]revdingles 20 points21 points22 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

MGTOW skips right past a reasonable middleground, straps the seatbelt on, drops a brick on the gas, and launches right into shitty sexism. People there seem to have a hard time celebrating manhood without framing it around women they hate.

[–]XavierMalory 13 points14 points15 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

For me personally, r/MGTOW has become loaded with incels and woman-hating.

But that's Reddit.

If you look at the core of what MGTOW is, you might find you agree with it. Here it is:

Self-Actualization (aka Internal Validation)

You can find this on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. All our lives, men are taught that the end game is a woman. That's the final prize. The loving wife, the family, etc. Now I'm not shitting on that (I had a family myself once), but if a man takes stock of what he has to lose vs what he has to gain, and he decides he doesn't want to chase that dream anymore, what does he do?

He lives for himself. He chases his own dreams. He finds validation within himself, and not from society, a woman, or even his peers.

[–]macaryl95 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

You got that right in every essence. The sub is a horrible misrepresentation of the actual movement. In fact, any man simply fighting to be recognised as a human is going his own way to some extent.

You have the masculists, who try to compare everything to feminism. They're out for a kind of equality, with a dynamic that may or may not work.

Then basic men's rights, which is self-explanatory. They recognise all the stupid things women do and try to compare it to their daily lives.

MGTOW is admirable or despicable depending on the individual. Either you are cutting off women as a surefire way to save much heartache, or you really are a sexist pig.

Meninism is just a blatant parody of feminism. Which of course has its own place in men's rights. That's about all I know.

[–]iburiedmyshovel 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You know, MGTOW has never really felt odd to me, because I've pretty much been living that life since I came out. I've never centered my life around a relationship, or chasing one, and it's more foreign for me to understand that opposing lifestyle. Being gay, at least for me, has meant learning to live for myself, and finding relationships only in an additive or complementary sense. I think MGTOW suffers from similar issues as the gay community, in that there's a hyper-centralism that occurs on "coming out"; just like gay people often want to fly pride flags and dance around in glitter once they're out, MGTOW want to flaunt their newfound lifestyle. And just like the gay community suffers from the image of the overly-flamboyant effeminate man who wears gay as an identity, so does MGTOW suffer from the isolated misogynist who finds power in an ideology that validates his choices. But I think most men could benefit from the ideology at the root, that your identity belongs to you, and your life choices are valid, social norms be damned.

[–]Sionnach1776 9 points10 points11 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

It's the exact mirror image of the worst excesses of feminism. That some guys seriously fail to see that is very worrying to me.

[–]JuliousBatman 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Incels are involuntarily celibate.

Mgtow boycott girls by choice. Usually because of history.

He's entirely correct. I identify with neither group, but by their own description, /u/scruffiez is correct.

[–]XavierMalory 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Fair enough. I guess it's the attitude of his post that makes it more like an incel. MGTOW men don't necessarily "boycott girls". They boycott marriage (and in some cases they boycott co-habitation).

EDIT: Also I'd like to add that girls can "hurt" incels, by laughing at them when asked to date, or by ranking them as undatable due to (insert reason here), which would in turn make some incels have the attitude of, "Well screw this. I'm done."

[+]JuliousBatman1 points 7 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Hot take:

They're both pathetic. MGTOW less so, but still pathetic. Just... Date less. Be more cautious with who you invest emotion in. "Going your own way" is killing a house fly with a handgun.

If you think people being horrible has anything to do with their chromosomes you're also retarded.

[–]XavierMalory 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

For me personally, MGTOW is self-actualization. I posted about this further up the chain if you're interested.

I agree though, that being an asshole knows no gender. I also agree that some MGTOW men go further than I think is necessary, but that's their choice. I'm more of the "one and done" when it came to marriage.

[–]Dracci 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you think it's for "quitters and losers" then who are the "winners?" Men stuck in the endless pursuit of women and not "quitting?" Are you basing your logic on the notion that married men are the "winners?" Getting the girl in the end shouldn't be the be all end all goal for every man. Many single men have great lives and many married men have beyond shit lives and lose everything.

MGTOW is just the decision to stop putting women as your source of happiness and placing goals and desires in other things. Because society, just like you, puts the pressure on the notion that men without the wife and kids are loser manchild deadbeats, which causes A LOT of men to desperately go for women and many of them get fucked in the process.

So I'm gonna go ahead and say any man that finds true inner peace and happiness is the real winner whether they have a family or not.

[–]pyro314 -4 points-3 points-2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, all these stories just sound like dudes who were horny and wanted to fuck anyways, and got played by an untrustworthy thot. I've been staying away from females for a reason, 2AW, All Women Are Whores. Fucking disgusted by them at this point. Also, this dude didn't file charges, because he was cheating on his fiancee. This is what guys get for being horny and having no self control lmfao

Isn't there any place where these rapes against men are being kept track of? For example, a wiki! We need to accumulate them all in one place with all of this supporting evidence so when people deny we can point them to an archive!!

I’m sure this happens a lot in the stripper/escort/prostitut world. Mainly because the woman knows most men won’t admit to being robbed because of their pride and especially not admitting to it being by a stripper.

[–]PhotonParable 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To be honest I can't support this particular post. I've always been a critic of the witch-hunting power of the #MeToo movement and I think it would be hypocritical to change my tune this time around.

I know almost nothing about the recent controversy surrounding her so if there's more legitimate evidence to prosecute then go for it. But this really is just he-said she-said.

[–]saintkatelyn -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“Fiancé at the time” I would hope to god she’s not your fiancé anymore if you decide to fuck random chicks you meet in a strip club. PSA: A STRIP CLUB IS NOT A BROTHEL. DONT TRY TO MEET GIRLS OUTSIDE THE CLUB.

I’d probably be raped and dead right now if I met people on the outside of the club on the regular. That’s some dangerous shit.

[–]StrawberryCake88 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]bigmoneyjeff -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Okay, but WHERE IS THE PROOF? You have pics with her, so do others that went to the strip club. Believe evidence, not groundless claims (especially against famous people). I will believe you if you either A. Don't sue her for a fudge ton of cash and/or B. Provide evidence to prove it beyond reasonable doubt and/or C. She confesses to doing it.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT A FAN of Cardi in ANY way, I hit skip on her "songs"! I'm just saying, we didn't believe Smolet without any proof? Why believe this guy while all the facts aren't clear yet.

I also saw a comment saying something about a confession.. if it's true then I believe him. The solution to this whole #believewomen or #metoo bullsh*t isn't to just apply the same rules to guys and say "equality achieved", but to actually get rid of the victim culture completely on both sides and put and end to this public shaming that many innocent people are the victims of.

If someone abused you, go to the cops, file a suit and let an investigation be launched and wait for the facts to be brought up in court before you publicly accuse anyone and ruin (or try to ruin) their careers and harm their reputation hem hem Amber Heard's proven false accusations.

[–]macgarthur 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]mattgcreek -3 points-2 points-1 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That's why you don't bring $850 into a strip club, ever. Bad things happen. I would assume her fans knew she was a stripper, maybe not that she was a prostitute. Either way, you knew she was trashy, so nobody should be shocked. Just listen to the lyrics of her songs, not exactly fine and moral poetry.

So because of that, he is exempted from all laws protecting people? Imagine if the roles were reversed, and the man drugged the woman, had non-consensual sex, stole her items and ghosted, but the woman had a fiancee; I doubt you would be saying the same thing.

[–]tboyacending 14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This isn't about his infidelity, there's a law against robbing people you dumb fuck. His personal choices/mistakes are his own, what happens to robbers/thieves especially if they are celebrated individuals effects all of society.

[–]mikebong64 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Well you're clearly insane. Guy gets drugged raped and robbed. But he's a cheater so none of that matters. By that logic. It's perfectly okay to drug and rape girls that are engaged and flirty.

[–]jameswalker43 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am sorry you feel this way. I know we all suffer and call each other names sometimes, like insane. May you be well

[+]inzane26 -7 points-6 points-5 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, im clearly insane for thinking an asshole met a piece of shit and got burned. It all matters. He did shitty stuff and so did she. And by my logic. Its a shitty thing to do if they're going home with random guys to fuck them while they're engaged. And its not okay. I just dont give a shit. They're both shit human beings. I guess you must just love guys that cheat on people they're engaged to.

[–]mikebong64 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ones a matter of personal relationships the other is multiple felonies. The degree of seriousness is a huge difference. If any man drugged raped and robbed a woman he's looking at some serious charges.

[–]inzane26 -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And i would argue they are both equally serious relative to their respective matters. Yeah, she should be facing charges. Its a piece of shit meeting a piece of shit.

[–]Cazken -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you that he fucked up majorly, but as the other guy said, it’s about her, really. It takes a special kind of person to do that to somebody and she should be punished for it.

[–]inzane26 2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yeah, she should face charges. She is piece of shit. Going "i was about to cheat on my fiance when >insert shitty thing< happened to me" makes me feel a lot less bad about it. There are other people that have been abused NOT as a result of being a piece of shit. Ill save my sympathy and support for them.

[–]Cazken 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree. He’s stupid too to leave her with that drink, to be honest.

[–]CrackaDon_YT -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She robbed people just as plenty of people do. Honestly, I've never seen a rapper catch as much flak for their crimes as Cardi B is right now, not to mention all these robberies are well past the statute of limitations in NY so nothing can happen to her anyway.

I she had robbed people at gunpoint and not drugged them, I guarantee she wouldn't be as ridiculed for it.

Bullshiiiiit. You don't take someone back to a room without wanting to have sex with them, you may have forgotten but that was your full intention you fucking fag, if this story is true which it likely isn't. Why are you going to the strip club while you have a fiancee anyway?

[–]jameswalker43 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I hear what you are saying, mate. Although the way we speak to each other influences the whole community greatly, including calling each other fag. This reminds me of one of my favourite Dalai Lama quotes: “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito.” Cheers

[+]itsmiir -15 points-14 points-13 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

While I agree that, assuming this story is true, Cardi B is totally at fault here, this could have been prevented by simply not going to the strip club. Lots of rape could have been prevented this way. And you can say “well, she shouldn’t have raped him” and you’d be right, but that’s like throwing gang signs in a dark alley controlled by a rival gang. Is it your fault that you were killed? No, but you definitely could have prevented it.

[–]BomblessDodongo 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Going to a strip club isn’t inherently inserting yourself into a dangerous situation, as inserting yourself into an alleyway with a gang in it is. You’re victim blaming, cunt

[–]jameswalker43 -2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You can have a different opinion. But hurtful generalisation or invectives like cunt limit our perspective. Love doesn’t. Sending you lots of positive energy.

[+]ThatsReallyGr81 points 7 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

I agree. Easily prevented. The irony to me is, if this had happened to a woman, women would be screaming from the roof tops, that you were "blaming the victim!" At this reply comment. Hypocrisy and double standards every where.

[–]itsmiir -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
