The best thing to do is to unwind the female chauvinist habit of gendering every bigoted behavior with new terms based off of "man" or "masculinity".

So, what is "mansplaining?" Simple: It's "the bigotry of low expectations." It's the presumption (that chauvinist men may make) that women are not at their level and require condescending to. Men do this in trivial/intellectual matters, and women do it to men in moral/propriety matters.

A woman telling a man how to act upright and morally when he has done nothing to indicate he's a failure in that regard is just as much "the bigotry of low expectations" as "mansplaining" is.

Don't criticse anyone on the basis of their gender. It's wrong when women do it, and it's wrong when men do it. It's my experience that a lot more women do it than men because they know they can get away with it, but hypocrisy hardly helps us.

I think the equivalent is women thinking they dont need something explained to them, as in, their level of understanding is comprehensive enough as is. Its of course, a problem that plenty of men have as well, and a problem not all women have, but there seems to be something of a pattern, both of men mansplaining to women that dont need to have it, as well as women feeling like they are being "mansplained" to, but its a justified legitly needed explaination.

A few years ago, a white woman tried to explain the Black Southern experience to me…a Black man who majored in U.S. history in college.
