I can see several problems with the infograph, not including the fact women get paid more in several occupations and this quote,

I also came across an interesting quote on the ABS website while having a look around.

We should make a counter poster with a "add a vagina" thing. I don't have the statistics here, but many fields pay women more then men.

For one, women in construction earn more than men in construction (as men are more likely to do the manual labour while women are more likely to be employed as architects).

Or turn it around and list hours worked only.

I work in compensation consulting (i.e. help HR departments figure out how much to pay employees), and my company maintains the largest database of salary information in the world. It's my job to understand and communicate market salary data to our clients.

The hackneyed "75 cents to every dollar" adage is not only 40 years out of date; it's simply wrong. If anything, market data is showing that in the most lucrative industries, men need more qualifications to command a higher salary. We were considering publishing a report that countered myths about the gender wage gap and how in some positions and industries, the reverse is true. We decided not to, as it wouldn't have been good marketing (HR departments are something like 85 percent women).

I agree. The wage gap is a myth. Women are paid less than men, but it's not due to discrimination. It's due to the choices that women make with their careers and education and how that translates over to their human capital. If women did in fact make less than men, then it would make since economically for more women to be hired to do the same work as men because that would translate over to them being paid less and the business owner making more profits. But that doesn't happen.

Meh, even if it's true it can be accounted for by the fact that the employer is probably expecting more work hours (indeed, more work years) from the males than the females. Also, according to that picture, both the male and female lawyers are grossly overpaid. Food vouchers and a cardboard box to live in, that's my idea of an appropriate salary for lawyers.

I mean if I could pay someone $8 to do something or pay $10 to someone else, I'd employ the $8 person.

There must be another reason, most likely my $10 guy won't get knocked up and quit on me, along with a plethora of other reasons. Employers aren't stupid. They think of every possible way of saving money. There's no way they would pass up hiring women for less money to do the same work, if there was no other factor.

What I read is "Add a vagina, and we'll accept you as an employee even if you work fewer hours". (assuming for sake of argument they didn't just make it up).

They really need a framework for these loose hanging facts, cause they fit either narrative. The difference is I can also refer to how the more hands on jobs in that picture have bigger gaps, and say "people are trying to even out the wage gap despite the hour gap, but they have a harder time in jobs where the judgement of the labour is less subjetive".

My point is with this few data points, people can do almost whatever they want.

Why don't we have a council of Feminists & MRAs meet with their Parliament/Congressional representatives and list all the inequalities that both sides have to deal with, then agree on writing a bill that would do away with all of those gender bias inequalities.

For example, all the pay gap issues they feel women have to deal with and all the court related prejudices that men have to deal with.

Surprisingly we'd find that it is illegal already for anyone to be discriminated against at the workplace. And that the reason why women are making less money is because of their own decisions.
