There are certain things that are agreed upon, common sense, that every man/woman should be doing; that is, going to the gym, improving your character, and dating. Beyond that, what do you hope to gain by looking at a study?

Why does everything have to follow a pattern, what if there is no pattern? Of course, the autistic mind really hates not having patterns. Do you even look at the statistical methods used in the studies; as in, do you know how to find the eigen values of a matrix in order to know how they got the factor loading values (to be honest the social scientists that wrote the paper most likely could not find the eigen values of a simple 3by3 matrix, they just do black box statistics with software) what about the replication crisis in psychology (modern day astrology)? Even assuming these psychology papers are done right and truthful to some extent, why should that change your tactics used in your dating life? Perhaps, something better would be to go out and start dating, see what works in real life FOR YOU, learn through your mistakes, I'm sure this is much more valuable than some paper telling you that men with a 103 canthal angle from the perpendicular implies you are dominant. Intelligence is not deterministic if then if then logical chain of implications, what is better is to expose yourself to a variety of stressors and signals, and from there you can gain true wisdom.

Why should the anecdotes from people on this subreddit matter? Some Jane Doe telling me Women like pretty boys, and then another Jane Doe saying women like masculine hyper aggressive meatheads, what do you hope to gain from this anecdotal knowledge? What are the intentions of the posters here? Are they saying these things because they hate men and are living out a revenge fantasy, and thus say the most fatalistic things (The same goes for men advising women), you are better off getting advice from your football coach or your barber/hair stylist, because that person knows you, and their advice not being doomer/edgy does not make it less truthful. The truth is not necessarily harsh , I have no idea why there is such a conflation in this subreddit that truth = harsh, and lies = soft.

tldr; touch grass (yeah that goes for me as well).
