[Meta discussion] Is this sub quality declining steeply? If so, why?

Hopefully meta discussion like that is allowed

So I have been lurking here for some years now, and I could always find some thoughtful comments here. Sometimes at more than a 50/50 rate even. But for some months it seems that most comments here are pretty bad, and even a lot of posts. Dont get me wrong, this place was never a bastion of good sense and civility but at least people had reading comprehension

Now its hard to find 10 comments that are clear and concise among 100. A lot of posters dont seem to even read the post they are responding to until the end, they respond about blue/redpill topics that are unrelated to the issue at hand, they go off rambling about 3 disconnected topics and let it to the commenters to make sense of their mess, they say vague things that no one can understand and all the commenters seize the opportunity to project any issue they themselves have in the thread and talk about it, etc and that is becoming the rule rather than the exception

Seriously, sometimes I had to check if we were on purge week

So, do you think this subs quality is declining? And if so, what do you think are the reasons? Influx of new people? Change of moderation standards? Redpill becoming more mainstream? The banning of subs like FDS and pill related stuff?

Im talking about the form of the discussion, not the content of it

But the comments reminded me of another example: baseless assumptions

"Oh you said A so I think, here in my head, that you also believe B. Haha only a dumb person believes B you just made a fool of yourself haha"
