So... female employee went to a rally to "support women," but failed to support her own female boss by respecting her authority (and her other female employees who did not go) by formally requesting a day off in advance.

Maybe she should have communicated with her boss AHEAD of time instead of assuming her boss supported the same things she did... in the same manner she did... just because she was also a woman. "Women's Rights" is a broad term and not exactly the same for every woman. I am sure for her female supervisor women's rights involves not being disrespected by an employee of the same sex as you. So much for sorority.

The ego and self-righteous hypocrisy is strong with this one. It serves as a clear example of segments of the population putting themselves on pedestals and thinking they can do no wrong because they are "part of a cause" or on "the right side of the issues."
