I have this terrible weakness to opening. I can do everything well but the most frustrating part of my game is my opening. Generally, I just run direct approaches or just let my wing do the opener because of the way it makes me feel. Hell, my best closes are my openings from wings because I'm more consistent that way. By opening, what I mean is actually opening and transitioning.

I'm a european freshman in U.S. college and I have noticed that I tend to make great first impressions on people. I think it's because I care about my looks, I can make people laugh, and I really don't mind being in the center of attention.

WHOO! SimplePickup! Jesse, Kong, and Jason, you guys are really cool. I’m a fan of your material on YouTube and I’ve gotten my brother and my friends in on it as well. The most genius thing I’ve seen you guys implement is the pushup routine because it makes what can be interpreted as a lose-win situation into a win-win one. I’ve been using it for some time now and it motivates me and my wings to go further, even when we’re not monitoring each other.

Because this is an AMA though, I want to ask you a few questions. Like I said, some of my friends and my brother even want to ask you a few things, so I’m just going to post what everyone wants to hear right here.

Let’s start with YouTube.

How did you start your YouTubing sessions?
What brought you to YouTube to give pickup advice? I’ll admit that there is a very good market on that end but where did you get your start?
What equipment do you use to film and how do you go about filming it? I noticed you guys change locations a lot… do you ever film around or not far from your home, or is it always somewhere else?
How long have you actually been filming it? As someone who has plans to move in the area you and many other YouTube “gamers” cover, what suggestions could you give a guy for starting up vBlogging?
Has having a reputation for pickup on YouTube netted you any bad results? Perhaps bad rep from your colleagues, friends, girlfriend, etc.? What about positively? You got a spot on ABC’s Nightline, so that’s definitely a plus.
Do you draw the line with pickup at YouTube or is something you guys actually mess around with? I can totally understand if you do it merely to impress others and to profit from it but I would also just like to know how far you incorporate it into routines.

What are you three actually studying for? I know a lot of people in the community are actually engineers, which isn’t completely related to women. How about you guys though? Any poli. Sci majors?

I’m not sure if you guys visit Seddit very often. Recently, Seddit and, well, a lot of the internet has been getting lots of hype around the concept of a friendzone. What is your take on it? Do you personally believe it’s simple to transition from friend to something more once you’ve been friendzoned by a girl? If so, how would you break the friendzone barrier?

What techniques would you suggest to be more dominant in a conversation, how do you break awkward silence, and how do you generally keep a conversation flowing? my weak spot is opening, sounds beginner, but sadly, its something i have to improve in my game.
i can open, i can close, and it goes well, but my worst part is opning. sometimes right after i close, everything goes to hell, so I end up going direct just because its my best turn-out, but i need to improve my indirect approaches. my best closes are when a WING opens, cuz when I open, i'm not as consistent. (unless i open direct, in that case its fine).

how to improve my opening?...
Opening defined as: open + transition. that's all.

I’ve heard you guys are fairly RSD-oriented, but do you use any routines? If so, are they self-taught, or what? Also, how conscious are you of escalating with women when you’re in an interaction?

I'm in college and I want to do the "social circle" kind of game that seems to be a natural fit for campuses instead of cold approaches.
