I see too much on TRP and similar a visceral hatred for single moms. I don't think that's healthy or the reasons for the hate are accurate. I understand some of the points and they are valid, but the entire view on single moms seems to me flawed. Here's why:

- Accidents happen. Do they reflect immaturity? Not in the significant manner that many TRPers state. We are horny creatures and at times we have unprotected sex in the midst of the passion, or it's ill-adjusted, or stuff like that. I am a guy, don't think I'm immature(at least not in a major way) and all of those things have happened to me and have happened to all other guys I know. It's a little bit like drunk driving. Yes, it's bad, but at certain points in life most people have driven while somewhat intoxicated or after a beer. The scandalous accidents are an irresponsibility, but most of our normal irresponsible acts don't have as dramatic effect. Pointing out to women who have had a serious consequence from a non-major irresponsibility seems hypocritical to me. At the very least the one who accuses such a thing needs to do an introspection as to how many acts have they done that could have had serious consequences and didn't.

- Guys can be liars, just as women. That is, a guy could pretend to be a good guy, or an average guy and for that not to be the case. It's like many TRPers who were abused by their parnter. Does that put the responsibility on the abused person? Partly, of course, but if my friend found out his girlfriend cheated I wouldn't see it healthy or accurate to state "you deserve it because you chose her". Only willful ignorance is culpable here and we all have some of that with people we care about.

- Some resent(that's the right word for much of TRP attitude) that women seek help or support, and even some criticize some methods, but isn't that the smart thing to do? Single mothers are vulnerable and they are in a negative situation so it's intelligent to level the ground, not only because of them but because they are now responsible for children. I always think that if they were so irresponsible, why would they even take care of their children? At the very least they gave life to someone and they are providing for that life. At best that's something absent fathers aren't showing, so while being the child of a single mom can be rough there's at least a mother present who in most of the cases, is trying her best with what she has(which includes her own abilities, maturity, knowledge), etc...
