No one takes responsibility. The honest answer is it’s both. It takes two and always has and always will. 99% of the time they had done one way or another to each other. Some will judge the level by stating she did this and I barely even did anything as if that barely doesn’t count. That’s just not accurate. OP I do think others have a point in that this is in large part due to your algorithm; that said, many people, including women, do not take any accountability for their actions/problems and will instead blame others because any deeper reflection would force them to confront their own behavior.

What I have actually heard was “it’s impossible to find good men nowadays”. Which isn’t as much women blaming men for finding her undesirable as it is women saying they want a relationship, but will stay single because they can’t find men that don’t treat them badly.

To elaborate: men are expected to initiate [in the active form] in almost all aspects of most relationships, and responsibility falls on the party taking the active role (though as with any large scale societal things the blame is spread out, mostly affecting on the ones not even responsible for it). On the other hand the active party generally does not have to fear being entrapped [in the sense of being socially forced to accept terrible choices/options] that most women have to face on a regular basis.
