Women here often say that men put way less effort into being attractive. However, statistics and my own personal experiences don’t back that up.

In terms of clothes, men are women usually wear similar types of clothes. I worked in an office with a casual dress code and what did women wear? T shirts and jeans. What did men wear? The same thing.

So why do women complain about this so much? Why do they think that if men put more effort into their appearance that would immediately yield results? I think it’s because they’re projecting what works for them onto men. If a women wanted to be more attractive and get more dating options, all she has to do is wear a little nicer clothes and do a little more makeup. That doesn’t work for men, if they want to dramatically improve their attractiveness they’ll go to the gym for months at least.
