Long story short. Wife “wants us to be great co-parents” but she is asking for it all. She put in temp orders after filing for divorce that she wants to be the primary parent, M-F, Child Support (she makes 4x than me), exclusive use of the house, life Insurance to continue paying child support if I die, no geographic location, pay for the kids health insurance. I just want to see my kids 50% of the time, don’t want any of her money, and be good co-parents. My attorney is tried to set up mediation for these temp orders and she does not want to do it. She wants to take this all to the hearing. It just boggles my mind that she can even state that she wants to be great co-parents and at the same time is trying to railroad me asking for all of this in temp orders and will not even consider mediating it. I didn’t want any of this to drag on and if she won’t agree to mediate this could start getting ugly with attorneys fighting this back and forth. So instead of being “great co-parents”, it turn us to never speaking again. Any advice on how to proceed or what I can do to make her realize this isn’t the right route to take this situation?
