This all only works for women because women are pursued by men and generally more desired in society than men.

A woman’s agreeableness plays a factor in elevating her social prospect for sure. Women like women who are social and men like social women.

The sociability of men is more scrutinized than it is in women, because they’re men. Society has its guard up around men, and anything he says or does is met with initial skepticism. Women don’t necessarily face that same threshold of skepticism, so ppl largely accept them in casual social situations

I agree with some points, like the therapy thing. But social conditioning starts from birth. You can't tell a child "omg get out of here, don't get too close, men are gross, awful, soulless pigs, etc etc" then later turn around and say "gee what's the matter with that guy? Why doesn't he just be confident and act normal?"

Also the degree to which women are welcomed just because they are women (before they've even had a chance to demonstrate their alleged social grace) is vastly underrated by you and many others. The prejudicial favoritism is real and significant.

What’s funny is that from the title I thought this was going to be a post about modern women wanting to retain the traditional privileges of their gender roles while expecting none of the obligations, but no it’s actually just lamenting that men don’t behave more like women.

The problem with this is that it confuses population level differences with individual treatment men receive

Its all nice to claim men are less agreeable on average, this is correct but the difference isn't large. So there's still a large proportion of men that is highly agreeable.

And these men don't suddenly get treated equally, an agreeable man might receive nicer treatment than a man that isn't, but it's still not as nice as what an equally agreeable woman would have received. I know this because I test highly agreeable on personality tests, but in my experience it doesn't really change how people look at you unless you have known them for a long time.

I don't think it is stupid for people to want be treated as invidivuals foremost. That makes perfect sense to me actually. In fact I'd go out and bet that especially agreeable people would find that understandable ironically.

Yes and no. Yes, some issues are rooted in male behavior. But also for example if we take some Ben. He will be agreeable, he will go to therapy, he will be tactful, and whatnot. It will not make casual sex as easily achievable as to average women. And that's what men are complaining about a lot. There are some gender based treatment, for a reason too, but nothing can be done there.

I have watched and took care of 3 of my grandpatents who died all of long diseases (both mental and physical) in their 80s. When they died none of my family did as much as ask me how I was feeling. They did with my sister,mother etc though Tell me again why men are less likely to express their feelings and seek help?

Eh, women are more likely to be agreeable, but the majority of both men and women are agreeable. Instead of citing one of the many 2010-ish studies, I'll go with fresher data. A study of 15,000 men from January 2026 found low disagreeableness in 90% of the study body, with 7% showing moderate disagreeableness and 3% showing high disagreeableness.

Also add men who say they don't know how to talk about their feelings with men, but then expect women to do that with men. If you feel so uncomfortale with men, why wouldn't women too?

Right, because if a man and a woman display the same behavior society definitely responds the same way so men just have to behave like women and they will be treated like women.

I mean, obviously what I said is true when men do something wrong...if a woman were to do something wrong then obviously it's probably because a man forced her to and he's just trying to avoid accountability.

In the workplace, highly agreeable people statistically earn less. Agreeableness also leads to higher levels of neuroticism. Highly agreeable people often prioritize social harmony over their own well-being and independence and often suppress their own needs and emotions to avoid conflict, too. Agreeable people stew in resentment, eventually feeling powerless or like a victim in their own lives.

If this is what you have to suffer to get empathy? Then that ain't empathy.

Edit: and disagreeable women get just as much empathy, which makes the entire OP a flat-out lie.

I don't want "female treatment", I want equality. Constitution and international law say equality is a given by the fact of one's creation, not bestowed upon for agreeableness, non-disruptiveness, social tact, and therapy.

Well, tbh men have this too, though I would call it attractive privilege. Plenty of studies in social psychology suggest those who are attractive have an easier time getting promoted, have easier time dating, and a lot of things in life. There are men who have this so idk why they think it's uniquely a woman's experience

While true, I've consistently scored high on agreeableness. I've been interested in psychology and people's problems for a long time, even while I lived life as a man. But generally making and keeping friends was more difficult back then. I'm also neurodiverse, so I know that plays a role but it seems as though people tolerate my neurodiversity more now than back then.

Social tact

Yeah, this was something I wasn't that good in at first being autistic but it was something I was able to learn and mask over time. And it still seems like people tolerate it more now that I am perceived as a woman.

So, I actually am someone who's done therapy since I was 18(I'm 31 now) and 2/3 of that time was when I was still living as a man. So obviously I was seeking help. People generally cared less about my problems back then (except my therapists). I'm a rape survivor, three times over, and two of the times were before transition. There was zero support from anyone I talked to aside from a therapist. Most people didn't believe me, would say stuff like "oh you must have wanted this; you're a man." It wasn't until after I started living my life as a woman that people believed me and offered compassion. #metoo has done a great job at getting people to believe women, but for male rape survivors, it doesn't seem to have done anything. Those people are kinda left in the dust

Post is basically just be low T, men aren’t less agreeable, more likely to commit crimes, for no reason. Therapy is a giant waste of time, work on yourself, get what you want, there’s nothing to talk about.
