Sometimes I see the stuff people talk about and I can't help but think "ffs, there's more to life than men, women, love and sex". This is one of those moments. Maybe it's insane to think that a body isn't the only thing that matters but intillectual maturity is important to older successful men. Because men are impressed by women's accomplishments. Don't know why the men in this forum have a hard time admitting that. No one wants to get stuck with a bit of dumb fluff for life if they can avoid it.

Most of us can't get someone who is both super pretty and accomplished, so we usually go for a bit of each, heading toward the pretty side.

I'm 61. There is no "wall" in most people's minds. I date as much as I want and I could marry again if I so desired.

The thing is, many people are more interested in their peers than they are in people wildly older or wildly younger. Relationships that work depend on a lot more than physical attractiveness or wealth.

there's a difference between your average post wall woman around age 30 to 40, and celebrity "post wall" women like Meghan Markle, Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Miranda Kerr et al. Most celebrity women keep their looks well, well into their late 40s and early 50s because they make their livings with their faces and bodies and they spend hours every day taking care of them. I can't even say most of these celebrity women have even hit the wall except for Jolie, who in addition to a bilateral mastectomy, has some major crazy bitch going on. She's a nutcase.

The average 35 to 38 year old woman has had a kid, is 20 to 30 pounds overweight, has a fair-at-best understanding of basic nutrition, gets 5 hours of sleep a night, drinks too much on occasion, and works a job where she's overstressed and underpaid.

If Amber Heard wasn't dating Elon Musk, there are many men she could date, most of whom are not as rich as Elon Musk but she could be okay with that. This makes Amber Heard more confident. Men like women who are confident. When you are prince Harry or Elon Musk, you are used to women fawning over you and totally overwhelmed by you. That gets tiresome, fast. You start to value women who are independently successful and that starts to trump their age.

Individual people do all kinds of stuff, but I'd bet that on average the age gap in marriages which involves extremely high value males is larger than for the population as a whole.

I don't know most of the people you listed: Elon Musk is still 15 years older than his (extremely outlier good-looking) Amber Heart. Clooney is 15+ years older. Didn't Brad Pitt and Jolie (who by all accounts is an extremely exceptional women) split up recently? I bet when he gets a new wife, she's going to be younger that Jolie.

"The wall" isn't a magical change that happens invariably at 30-- it's when age depreciates a woman's looks enough that men are no longer stepping over themselves to accommodate her, nobody tries to talk to her in public anymore, she stops getting the benefit of the doubt by default.

All of these women are strikingly beautiful and would still be pulling ample male attention in public places even if they weren't famous. None of them have hit the wall.

I could just as easily come up with a list of "famous" "celebrities" who upon getting divorced later get remarried to a woman a decade plus younger than the first wife.

They marry these women for appearances and status. A younger girl does not provide this. They can also use her to produce heirs while sleeping with younger women, be that women they meet or high end escorts behind their wife's back, they are high value enough that they get to have their cake and eat it too.

couple things going on here,

Your male examples are sufficiently high quality to make [less demanding, they nag less, they are less jaded] satiated/disappear in almost any average woman. Elon Musk for example is -literally- and realistically breaking the notion of 'the sky's the limit'. If that doesn't satiate any woman's desire for ambition & achievement in a partner. I'm not sure what will.

Another thing is that love relies on being able to relate, and in the cases of these super examples above then having a young body is going to have a little more trouble competing with that.

Very attractive, nice men may become women’s mascots, the kind that moms want to both hug and fuck, and the fall is very high if they disappoint.
You have no idea what these men do on the side discreetly. Fucking hot girls in their early twenties on the side is not off the table. At least it wouldn’t be if I was a celebrity.
Older women are admittedly probably more likely to have better developed social skills and do a better job of not attracting media attention. Younger women will tell all their girlfriends...on instagram and facebook. Older women are probably less likely to be crazy. Some older women are nicer, because they have been humbled by their aging appearance. And believe it or not, even extremely high value men like nice women. Women who think most men like bossy bitches are projecting their own preference for sadistic and dominant men onto men’s preferences in women.
Unlike most men these men have instant access to hot, young women. If every man got to live in a candy store for the first half of their adult life, then sure, many of them would probably miss other things. AFTER a decade of fucking hot young women. I promise to be a good man and marry some 30+ ex super model if I get to fuck a couple of hundred girls aged 18-25 too. Don’t worry about it.

Hey, some pointers. Only Prince Harry is valid in your list. Cumberbatch cannot be included- He married after 17 year relationship. He is not going to leave someone he loves just for a younger women. All other women you mention are top tier models and actresses in their early 30s - and they are top in the womens heirarchy. Comparing them to a typical 25 year old is not the same- because Only a small percentage of women are really beautiful ( compared to the entire population). So, just from an attractiveness perspective- They are highly desirable. Then comes all the other qualities other than attractiveness : Smart, high social status and income, etc. etc. Being young - like 25 definitely have advantages . And a good rule of thumb is to get into permanent relationships at 25.
Also if you see- Hemsworth etc. has done really well in life after marriage. Marriage isn't just for sex. BUT- I think Prince Harry is an odd one out- The women is neither high value- Plus is divorced and 36. I think he is doing a mistake.

What is the point in marrying someone for being young when she will eventually be "old" in a couple of years. As long as a woman LOOKS young what difference does her age matter?? Aside from looks men are obsessed with younger women because they want to feel superior to someone or want someone who is easily impressed(ie. less demanding).
