Theres this idea on PPD that HVM opt to date 'low N count women' and high n count women dating HVM are set up for failure (because he doesn't really respect her duh)

In my 15 years of dating, and my innumerable discussions with other friends - we have never come across a discussion regarding 'N count'. Before anyone chimes in with 'plausible deniability' - the fact I have had previous fuck buddies, short term relationships, flings and ONS has come up in conversation via anecdotes and casual discussions, as have they.

It's just a given that we both have both experienced myriad sexual situations throughout our life course - and I was under the assumption that this was the norm in the west.

I am convinced that the 'eww high n count' crowd fit into the following two catagories:

  • They're from non progressive, socially conservative or tradcon cultures and countries.
  • They are religious or are loosely religious.
  • They are sexually inexperience or sexually unsuccessful. In my experience inexperienced folk are viscerally resentful that women have been able to have sexual escapades whilst they have not. It also in some cases invokes a sense of insecurity that you can't compare to previous partners and she might be thinking about them.

So ladies - has anyone ever asked directly or indirectly about your past sexual escapades? How did it go down? If it happened in the future - how would you respond?
