I was in a BDSM situation 2 years ago. As in, I’d spoken about being curious about bdsm (mostly because it was so common in porn) but straight up told my abuser I didn’t want to engage in it with him. My abuser lured me to his house, locked me in his room, and wouldn’t let me go. He ended up sexually assaulting me so it was just shy of rape.I was too shocked to do anything except to try and claw at him but he just laughed when I did that. I reported him to the police and this one male officer went “it looks like you instigated it”, even though my abuser was the one messaged me about bdsm. I’ve never forgotten that, it was absolutely soul crushing. Somehow, the male officer missed the memo that I wrote to him over text and told him I didn’t want to engage in bdsm with him and immediately blamed me for being curious. Luckily, the female officer took over and she ended up getting him arrested.

I’d tell the girl in the post to report his ass to the police but I’m not sure if they’ll even be of assistance. The police don’t seem to get that showing interest does not equate to consent and will interrogate you to the point where you’ll be reduced to tears. I wish that I could trust the police, I really do, and I wish more women could, but most of them aren’t equipped to deal with sexual assault/rape and if a woman shows interest in a sex act or revoke consent halfway through sex, they automatically blame her. Perhaps this is just my experience, but I really don’t have much faith in the police.

To that poor girl, I hope she gets out safely and realizes that he’s a psychopath who’s raping and abusing her. My heart goes out to her.
