Based on what I see around me, ladies in their 30s who struggle to find a man is mostly because of crazy high standards, either due to sheer entitlement or fear of a relationship (self sabotage). But somehow they fall for the first Casanova that calls them "beautiful", get stuck in an abusive/insane/unbalanced relationship usually involving cheating, and when they finally break up all "men are trash".

I've seen absolutely great girls, with hearts made of gold and who were/are the most loyal, best friends you could ask for, fall for the routine above. And there was no reasoning with them, it was just bizarre. One refused to give a single chance to perfectly good guys, albeit not the most beautiful ones, but stuck for 2 years with an alcoholic bipolar who refused to take his meds, cheated on her, squatted in his late mother's house, couldn't keep a job because he would leave during the day to run errands ; her excuse? "he's not like other men, only I can see the real him".

Something I think everyone knows is that men marry across and down economic class, while women marry almost exclusively up and across in economic class. So a lot of career women are screwing themselves out of potential partners because they're earning more than a lot of men, which wouldn't be a problem if not for their own refusal to date men poorer than them.

If you want an extreme example of what happens when this gets really bad, go look at Mongolia. Several of the articles written about their crisis of lack of eligible bachelor's include women slowly realizing that their own standards are causing them to be lonely.

I look around and see good men, but not an equal number of good women. It's odd that women talk about good men being hard to find. They're fucking everywhere.

Well if no one wants to have a long term relationship with them but others around them seem to be able to perhaps they should look at themselves. Though the chance of them considering that they may be doing something that puts men off making a commitment must never be their fault will it. I have met this sort and they expect it all to be one sided. You can tell within seconds of talking to them that they are not willing to compromise on anything and the thought that they may ever be wrong never happens. They will hit in a lot of cases their 40's and be complaining that through their 30's men of their age will be off marrying women much younger and all that is left are men with kids who are not going through that again. Perhaps if they understood that relationships require compromise on both sides they could get somewhere but no they are so entitled they will complain how bad men are.
