In 1994 when I was a college freshman, the campus' Young Republicans group put an ad in the student newspaper for new members to sign up. The ad had a picture of Bill Clinton with the caption "He's no JFK..." then a picture of JFK on the autopsy slab with the caption "...but there's still time."

Just a couple of days after that ad ran, the Secret Service had come to campus, identified all responsible, pulled them in for questioning, etc. Because you can't do this and not expect there to be consequences.

And I guarantee Bill Clinton never even knew about this "threat" and certainly didn't order his Secret Service to go after some college kids with not nearly enough sense to know better. Even if Twitter had been a thing 23 years ago, this probably wouldn't have been more than passing news to a small community. Still would've had Secret Service attention.

And that's why we are where we are. You can't do what she did and have it just be "lol, jk". Her actions afterwards are just...par for her course. She's a fucking insignificant failure in her medium and is trying to stay famous. This is a shit way to do it.

Bottom line, this behavior is unacceptable no matter who the target is.

Fuck, Kathy. I work in entertainment. Have for 11+ years. I've dealt with, on a daily basis, some of the biggest stars in the world. I never repped, nor did any of my bosses rep, kathy. I interacted with her ONCE because my boss at the time was friends with her. Kathy couldn't get a meeting with a prominent writer and her agents weren't able to either for whatever reason. My boss was very close to said writer so kathy called her for the meeting. My boss agreed, told me we had Kathy's email address in our contacts in Outlook, which we did. I was to set it and coordinate with Kathy.

I got times from the writer and emailed Kathy directly on her email with my boss on copy to set it and moved on. I don't rep her, my boss doesn't rep her, so i didn't care. It's a favor, here take it. Typically when dealing with clients we actually rep you will go thru their manager/managers asst (at the time i was a manager's assistant...and am a manager now), agent/agents asst, or their personal assistant to schedule. Since we didn't rep Kathy and she never said to schedule with any assistant whatsoever i merely followed orders and sent it directly to kathy.

Well, she didn't like that. Not at all. She called me up and was immediately cussing me up and down. I've dealt with all kinds of verbal abuse over the years, as one does, working at agencies, management companies, even casting (for a year). I thought she was joking immediately. I even laughed a bit on the phone and then i realized that this screeching, INCREDIBLY angry sounding woman was, in fact, being serious. She said shit like "HOW DARE YOU CONTACT ME DIRECTLY?! YOU'RE A GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING ASSISTANT YOU DON'T EVEN SPEAK TO ME DIRECTLY." I wish i was kidding. Shit like that, she hit allllll of those marks. And, again, this was a favor that my very influential boss was doing for her. We repped people FAR bigger than her, not that it would have mattered as you treat people fairly regardless of who they are. Nonetheless, i lost it. Fuck it, i don't work with her and i'm not going to have to take that. I bitched her the fuck out. Called her washed up, said she should be so lucky this was a favor that was being done for her. I also told her she can go and call the writer's assistant directly going forward as i will no longer do this. It was ballsy for me to do that. My boss heard me yelling and walked just down to the hall and had a huge smile on her face like "who the fuck is he yelling at like this". She was so amused by the whole thing. I finally slam the phone down, hanging up on that bitch. My boss looks and me and says, "was that kathy?"

I gave her the rundown and my bosses' expression changed. She said, "get her on the phone right now" and proceeded to tell her how incredibly inappropriate that was and yadda yadda yadda. Totally had my back. Felt really good. Anyways, this woman is an attention whore who is trying to stay relevant. She did a controversial shoot with a controversial photographer and they both knew exactly what they were doing. I hope she never works again and i'm glad she's getting fucked with. I'm sure i'm not the only one that old whore has treated poorly.
