I wonder what would happen if she just refused to take care of the child herself in favour of her own hobbies (not advocating for that, this is just a hypothetical). Would the kid just starve? Would the LVM just continue his gaming routine and allow the child to be neglected? Its absolutely insane how a father just refuses his parenting duties in order to play games, it’s absolutely disgusting. And then to totally dismiss her by saying “I’m not the AH”. Yes my dude you’re the AH. Hope one day she comes to her senses and takes the kid and leaves.

I think a lot of women are plagued with low self esteem, and are more excepting of lvm behaviors like this because of that. And it totally sucks. Correct, he doesn’t care. She thought she could change him, some of us have been there. I feel for her and their child. I wonder if she all of a sudden was busier and needed him to step up and care for their child alone while she was out, would he step up?

It reminds me of when I was offering online support to women in abusive situations. There was nothing I could do to make them see that they were being abused until they reached that point themselves. Some never did and could not be helped no matter how much we tried. It was heartbreaking.

She’s NTA, but she’s a clown for staying with him. Her fears are perfectly valid. It’s not a question of if an emergency happens and he won’t be helping her, it’s a question of when and how bad it’s going to be!

I legit get triggered by these kind of posts, I know they are important here, but I've seen so many lately, I have to log off and put some wholesome show or anything nice in the background for a while.

I absolutely cannot stand when these poor women come to reddit/forums and describe disgusting, vile, disrespectful situations a man is putting them through, like they literally write all this shit down themselves, it's THEIR words! And then still end all up with a "I am NOT leaving SO."

Fucking hell, it makes me so fucking angry. I objectively understand how and why the situation came to be, and why they react that way, society, brainwashing, oppression, gaslighting, etc. etc. etc., we discuss it plenty here! But it still makes me so, SO angry to see these women describe awful scenarios, and then actively choose to stay with that shitty person, or even go on a defending spree when comments dare to even allude he's not a good man or to leave him.

I particular get upset when I check back these ladies accounts history, and they come back with similar posts over the last 1-2 years, same LV SO, keep on asking for sympathy or "advice," and basically ends up they just want to emotional dump on us and not accept any of anyone's advice.

I have deep respect for women who still choose to help and aid these women, because I just don't have the will to go above and beyond. I can barely carry myself, I'm not gonna carry someone who not only refuses my help, but actively gives me shit for it. I just can't.

Sorry for the rant, these kind of posts are regular in our sub I understand, and they're very helpful, and I am thankful because they may help other sisters out t here in similar situations to maybe see the light, but at the same time I cannot handle them as much as I want to.

it is going to take her a very long time to realise that the problem isn't a lack of communication, but simply a lack of care on his behalf. he knows he's not helping, he knows she is struggling, he can probably see what's going on, he's not an idiot. he just plays the idiot so she can remain frustrated thinking some nebulous force is causing the problems in their relationship rather than simply him not giving a shit.

Option one

Stay with him and continue making these post which will steadly contain even more depressing content until your entire sense of self worth and self love is stripped from your bones.

Or

Option two

Leave him and watch your life steadily improve after cutting him out, joining FDS, and realizing you are worth your weight in gold. Resulting in the creation of a world that is so encouraging and full of opertunities that you and your child both thrive in a peaceful loving environment. One that will also give you the knowledge to know the difference between a HVM and LVM so you dont get caught up again in that debauchery.

Or option three which is just like option 2 but with more queen like flair in the leaving portion. That would probably be my choice. But then again I like to make a grand exit on occasion. 😉

Wasn’t there a guy on reddit who had his house broken into by a stranger, and his wife was violently raped in front of their little child? And he didn’t notice anything because he was wearing noice cancelling headphones? I do think it’s possible for somebody to not be aware of their surroundings when preoccupied and wearing something that blocks noise, but he’d have to do something about it if he doesn’t want something similar happen to him. She should leave already whatever he does though.

Edit: link for the comment mentioned. She should run before something similar happens to her.
