The facts are pretty unavoidable at this point. Marriage and birth rates are way down. Single moms by choice are a growing trend. Is this just a blip because of millennial challenges like covid, market crashes, globalization? I’ve heard several people say it just goes in cycles or millennials are just a “lost generation.”

That explanation seems somewhat reasonable but I kind of suspect it’s not true. It seems a lot like these trends are irreversible and permanent. Maybe this is just the beginning of the end of the old fashioned ways. Like this is the future, Gattaca is happening, just sooner than we all expected. It doesn’t seem like anything is reversing these trends at this point. Is it a good thing? Is it just inevitable?
