I'm in the waiting area of a small hospital (my GF is visiting her aunt). Several employees went off shift. The woman who's checking people in said "have a good day" to all of them (and a little more to a young doctor) as they walked by -- all of them except one unattractive fat employee -- when he walked by the check-in lady didn't say a word even though the fat guy acknowledged her as he walked past.

Do people confuse anxiety for attraction?

Emotional unavailabity, push pull, unpredictable behavior, hot-cold, etc etc.

Is this why women and sometimes men OBSESS over somebody who is "kinda" into them or gives them some indication of interest but is a lot of the time cold.

Its not actual ATTRACTION to the individual, their traits, what forms them as a person. But just the constant thinking and feelings of uncertainty and speculation about IF they do or could care, get mistaken for feelings...

OR is attraction itself non existent. Its just a multitude of things. Comfort or lust or anxiety caused by obsessive uncertainty....

A guy who has options will cause anxiety in a woman because he is off giving them sex and attention when he's not interacting with the girl obsessing over him.

A guy FAKING that behaviour will eventually be found out or will have to maintain the facade FOREVER otherwise when that anxiety fades in the object of his seduction and comfort increases...what she THOUGHT was attraction will fade...

Be honest. How much of the body count n count thing has to do with who they’ve had sex with and less about that they’ve had sex?

Usually people say it’s because they don’t wanna be with someone who might cheat or won’t be able to bond with them which I don’t not believe, but I’m convinced there’s more to it. Where I live interracial dating across the board is extremely popular. I was having this talk with somebody telling me that where they’re from all of your dating prospects are “forever” ruined and nobody will want to date you seriously if you’ve had sex with somebody outside of your race

I’ve heard it tons of times in the reverse and other ways which lead me to believe it’s not all that uncommon of an outlook. It comes in other ways outside of race, some that even I can admit. If a woman told me she only fucks dude who’ve been to jail, I’m gonna disappear faster than David Blane. I’ve also heard women say they won’t date men who’ve had sex with escorts or experimented with their sexuality

So all that to say, maybe if the body count argument was centered more around being uncomfortable with the people a person has had sex with and less about pseudoscience and purity culture, it’d be more sensible.

For current society to function, it feels like the majority of men have to be in the dark about women's true preferences. Otherwise those men stop producing the things that matter for society.
