I don't think the guys simping over these """""bad girls"""" aren't necessarily the same guys who are shaming/mocking women for doing the female version of such. Maybe there is a minor crossover, but it surely isn't a one to one correspondence.

Meanwhile, I have found it more often to see a woman talking out of both sides of her mouth where she will call men shallow for caring about looks over personality/being coomers over women with ass/dangerous personalities while more often than not willing to simp for a "bad boy"/"dangerous man." The fact is, in both men and women, there are populations of people where a little “danger” is perceived as attractive and/or exciting.

You just lost your own argument. There are "populations of people", so, subgroups of men and women, who are attracted to and follow up on "a little danger". You have no basis to assume, that he men and women who say: men/women are stupid for going after "a little danger", are the same ones who go for that themselves.

Spoiler alert: men and women are not monoliths and there are different mating strategies and preferences in both groups.

In order for "men to be the biggest hypocrites" you would need to show that it's both something that applies to most men (so a group characteristic) and that the men who say are also the men who do, what you have been talking about.

I can’t speak on ‘a little’ danger, but I do come from a notoriously unsafe, developing country. Where the actual danger changes the dating dynamic tremendously. Both women, and men don’t travel alone. Socialise alone. The majority of dating, and matchmaking happens with the whole of both families involved.

Conversely ‘a little’ danger in the developed country I primarily live in, is not dangerous at all. So both parties, but especially women, enjoy a level of freedom because of it.

The attractiveness/excitement factor is only applicable in a modern society. In far less stable, developing countries, there’s nothing exciting, or attractive about courting danger.

I haven't seen much interest in my circles about "The Doll," but in fairness I do remember some people being a little weird about Kim Jong Un's sister. Not sure how widespread that was either, but I did hear some people making jokes about it.

I don't think it's hypocritical though. Just different interests explored a little differently by each gender. There certainly is a long standing tradition of women finding criminals really attractive, but I think that's "normal" to some degree. Isn't that an expression of "dark triad" attraction? I don't really find that to be terribly unusual given that it's generally indicative of men that will literally do anything to get their way (and often do).

I think the allure of "bad girls" is usually more focused on sexuality. In a market where sex is hard to come by, it also makes sense for men to be drawn to women that are... a little more generous with their sexuality? I suspect most guys don't want to be in a relationship with them, but it does seem convenient to have an "easy outlet" for what drives men.

Maybe a better way to put it would be to say that women desire that "bad boy" due to the nature of how those guys move through life. Ruthlessness and immoral behavior can often lead to power and resources.

For men, it's probably more accurate to say that the better looking a woman is (or the more unbound she is by sexual morals), the more likely men are to overlook glaring character flaws.

Men and women are really into attractive and charismatic people. When a guy is hot or is clearly rose above societal norms women want to get with him. When a woman represents an archetype of a form of physical beauty all guys want to get with her.

People are really into other people that can express themselves in an attractive way on instagram. If a guy or girl can have a page and post stories where they appear to have a fun life with other attractive above average people, it’s an instant turn on. Instabaddies of either sex are near irresistible sexually, just most people don’t have that type of access to them. Very attractive charismatic people have power over other people, they are magnets for attention. They are life on easy mode.

Men and women are the biggest hypocrites about this. They keeps saying how they want this specific thing whereas we all want universally attractive people, they are just in limited supply and have every option on the table. So you just have to learn to be happy with people that want to be happy with you and settle.

Men aren't specifically or solely attracted to "bad girls". They just like to sleep with attractive women. Men say "I can fix her" when a woman in attractive. They say "I can fix her" for the Doll Hitwoman and other women who commit high profile crimes when those women fairly young and are considered physically attractive by significant number of men (i.e. Jodi Arias or Casey Anthony).

You don't see a bunch of men saying "I can fix her" for Aileen Wuornos, the prostitute serial killer who unalived several of her "Johns". That's because Wuornos wasn't really attractive. She was a rough/scary looking woman who in her 30s when she was 1st arrested for the murders and in her 40s when she was executed.

Likewise, you didn't see men saying they could fix Griselda Blanco, who was a Colombian female gangster just like "The Doll". The difference is, Griselda Blanco was a middle-aged not too attractive looking woman by the time she was arrested by the Feds in the 1980s and 90s. She looked kind of like Roseanne Barr. Not exactly a sex symbol. Male gangsters, crime kingpins and drug lords, by contrast, never seem to have any shortage of hot women on their arms, no matter how ugly they are.

There weren't a lot of men lining up to "save" or "fix" Wuornos or Blanco because they weren't hot like "The Doll" or Casey Anthony. Yes, it is shallow, but men are just like that. Also, guys who make the comment "I can fix her" are mocking men's willingness to go for toxic women just because they're hot. Its basically satire.

When it comes to men falling in love with prostitutes, strippers, IG or OF "models", its the same principle. They fall "in love" because its an attractive woman having sex with them (or holding out the hope of possible sex) and maybe being nice to them.

On the other hand, men don't have the same attraction to people of the opposite sex because they're "bad" that many women do. Men are mostly attracted to looks, at least initially. If a woman is physically attractive, men in general won't reject her because she's a virgin, or she's "too nice", or she's boring, or any of that stuff. If "The Doll" was a shy virgin instead of a hitwoman, and there were photos or video of her online, men would be saying things like "she's wifey material", "she's a keeper" and so on. Some people here might be familiar with a famous National Geographic magazine cover from 1985 showing an Afghan refugee girl named Sharbat Gula with striking green eyes staring right at the camera. That photo got a lot of attention and some men were writing to the magazine saying they wanted to marry her. Gula wasn't a serial killer or hitwoman like "The Doll". She was just a refugee girl who had a striking appearance. So some men looked at her and wanted to marry her.

That's how men are, in general. Just give us attractive women who have sex with us and are nice to us and we're happy.

Women, on the other hand, are more likely to be specifically attracted to "bad boys". Two guys can have the same physical appearance, but women will prefer the "fun" badboy over the boring "too nice" guy. Men aren't like that. We'll take the pretty nice virgin girl. In fact, most guys would prefer the hot looking nice girl, at least for serious relationships. Even though our schlongs are drawn to the no-good but hot-looking women (like "The Doll"), if we're thinking with our big brain, we avoid getting entangled with them.
