This is something I saw thrown around on fitness forums years ago. I obviously assumed it wasn’t always true, but maybe was at least based on something. After looking into it, I can’t find anything it could be drawn from. Literally just references to it on fitness forums. There aren’t any articles, pop culture references, polls, or studies backing this up. Many other stereotypes are at least drawn from somewhere even if it isn’t objectively true, but this seems to be just pulled out of /fit/‘s ass. Or it’s a meme I’m missing the joke on.

If you guys can find anything that isn’t just like a forum or Reddit post or that suggests this, I’d really appreciate it. Doesn’t even have to be a peer-reviewed study or anything like that. Like a pop-science article or any pop culture thing outside Internet forum would work. Also pls no anecdotal evidence. “I’m low-T and I’m a chubby chaser” or “I’m high-T and I only date skinny women” isn’t helpful. If your post begins with “well I know a guy” just save us the time.

Also, I’m not looking to disprove that this meme is true, or prove that the reverse is true, just a lack of any substance other than shitposting.
