Recently this subreddit hit its one hundred thousand subscribers. The landscape of the debate and the size of the community has significantly changed, but this subreddit has no adjusted to those changes. Because of this there will be a lot of small changes coming to the subreddit to address the changing debates and size. Just to be clear no major overhauls of the user interface, rules or look of the subreddit will be changing.

Incel Content

Incel content was initially banned on this subreddit to address the growing issue of incels essentially making discussion or question posts that were really just a proxy for them whining about their life; to be clear this is what the issue with incel content is and still is. Despite the general issue with incel content, people on here still want to discuss incels and still do using other terminology such as "sexless men", "lonely men", "nice guys" or "the rise of sexlessness". Because of this the rules surrounding this content are going to be re-examined.

Race Content

Race content was banned for a similar reason to incel content, this was due to people using race as a way to complain about being an incel. This topic was re-examined a while ago and it was ultimately decided to keep it banned due to the incivility it caused with race baiting. Race is relevant to the topics discussed here, whether people like that or not, so this will be re-examined(re-re-examined) again.

Red Pill vs. Blue Pill

This subreddit started as meta-debate subreddit for people from two different sides of a debate(Red Pill vs. Blue Pill), but since its inception this has changed a lot to the point where these debates are becoming much more complicated and turned more into a general gender/dating/culture debate. These will flairs and identity will likely be kept, but topics such as "QuestionForPill" might be too outdated and might be removed or reworked in some way.

Flairs and Topics

There will be more flairs added for discussion types, for example they might look like: online dating, politics and advice. There will also be more topics permitted here(such as discussions about politics if they are relevant to the topics here and this will be written in the rules more clearly on what counts) and bringing back actual advice posts is something that will be looked at as well. There will also be flairs added for long-time members, good contributors and the best trolls during purges.

Rules

The rules will be rewritten to provide better clarity and to reflect any changes that will happen on this subreddit. In general there will probably be less rules, but these rules will be more strictly enforced. In the past when the community was small and there was less to deal with, having lenient rules was much easier, now with the size it is necessary to be more strict with rules.

Moderators

The subreddit is currently looking for new moderators. We will likely be looking to add at least 5 new moderators. There will be a separate post in the future just for an advertisement looking for moderators, but in the meantime you can answer these questions and send a message to the moderator mail titled something like "Moderator Application":

  1. How long have you been using this subreddit(if you have an alternative account please tell us that one)

  2. What is your time zone?(you can give a rough approximation if needed)

  3. What other subreddits relevant to this do you use?

  4. Your gender?

  5. What pill/community affiliation do you identify with the most(Blue Pill, Red Pill, MGTOW etc.)

Not everything listed above will be changed, but this is what the ongoing discussions are pertaining to. Any suggestions or thoughts you can leave in the comments below. The general goal here is to make the subreddit conform and accommodate the current debate landscape.
