I feel like I'm now being guilt tripped to stay at my job. One of my colleague asked me not to leave because they will miss me, the supervisor comes in the morning and tells me that he will need to hire 2 people to replace me because of the sheer number of hours i worked and he seemed down while saying that. They offered me a promotion to managerial level but it was only on paper. I wouldn't get the jump in salary.

Funny thing is, The bloody recruiter still doesn't answer me lol. I don't wanna burst these guys bubble but it's possible I might stay even beyond the end of the next month lol.

He had been shoplifting a lot of his staple foods, and I asked him to stop doing so. I don't want to build a life with someone regularly committing petty crime, even if it is in order to eat. I don't judge someone who has to do so, I think the cost of living is insane and I understand, I just don't think we are in a position where it is necessary to take that risk... For instance, he actually inherited 50k from a family member recently, HOWEVER, refuses to use it for groceries or bills. He says he is trying to save it and be responsible. In my mind there's no expense more responsible than buying food for yourself, but he won't budge on this. He says I don't understand what it's like being a person with normal financial stress and it's not my place to judge him. He wants to keep the money for big expenses in the future. So basically I agreed to pay for most of the groceries if he would stop stealing.

This poor guy is trying to save money and be responsible and his girlfriend won't stop complaining. Is she abusing him?

I saw a compelling reason for why certain women, particularly ones that grew up in the trenches, prefer the "bad boys" that PPD likes to talk about vs women that grew up in upper class burbs.

When crime and physical violence is a constant threat, the only way women can defend themselves is allying themselves with other formidable men. This carries over to male partners too, naturally, who would function as the woman's primary source of protection. Thus, women who grew up in dangerous areas are more likely to seek "physical formidability" in their partner.

It makes sense the other way too. Korea has low violent crime, so K-pop boys are desirable compared to hypermasculine men because the need for physical protection isn't so immediate.

I read another study before that said that in societies where there's economic stress, traditionally masculine traits are more preferred than in wealthy societies. And of course there's the factor that seeking traditionally masculine guys means that you'll have the security of being provided for, but also for physical protection since economically stressed societies usually have high crime rate too.

So if you are a guy looking for a woman that doesn't value hypermasculinity, your best shot is to look for women who grew up in stable environments.

Now this brings us to a related point of interest - the Horsepill (a.k.a. why the 'obsession' with horses is so prevalent in women)

To start with, just like boys like to do rough and tumble activities which serves as a kind of learning tool for their evolutionary directive to hunt and do physical tasks in adulthood, so too do women do stuff like watch dramas, yap about inane shit with friends, etc. as a sort of learning tool that boosts their ability to navigate social situations - social influence has been women's number one survival tool for time immemorial and they have an evolutionary directive to want to boost that ability.

And not just horses, participating in any activity that has a sort of "taming the beast" theme can be seen as a subconscious practising using a sort of proxy for psychologically influencing men and romantic partners. The evolutionary directive to want to be good at psychological influence and social navigation therefore leads us to the prediction that such activities would be popular among women.

One way to validate a scientific theory is to see what things it predicts and to check if those predictions are correct. We note that werewolf and beast-themed smut novels are very popular among women, so this is promising evidence that our theory is in the right direction.

But let's return to the horses. As we deduced before, horse taming can be a very good subconscious proxy for socialization with powerful men and many women are driven by their evolutionary directive to want to do it. If the woman in question has low "psychological compartmentalization" ability, however, she may begin to superimpose the idea of a horse and this powerful man and begin to develop romantic feelings for the horse, which would explain the horsefucking epidemic we have today among horse girls.
