I just recently came out of some sort of abusive BPD or vulnerably narcissistic relationship and it made me fortify my belief about a big chunk of women in today's society.

Women can use their (fake) vulnerability in almost any situation to evade accountability. It really didn't matter what I did, she could pretend to be hurt at any time and it would be in favour of her. There were even situations that made absolutely no sense and she would outburst in tears or pretend to do so. Literally not saying anything even remotely negative to her and she would make it seem like an attack. And I'm quite sure she sometimes did that as an excuse to withdraw and cheat on me, but that is another story.

Men on the other hand usually only use anger as a way to control (women too, but it's not their main tactic), but the problem here is that anger is way easier to spot as a manipulative tactic. Vulnerability on the other hand will always be seen as genuine and it is much more likely that the man is considered the abusive part.

Anger is morally convicted, sadness or vulnerability is not. It is rather supported. But if a man is vulnerable people will tell him to man up.

So the general power balances in relationships and many other aspects are quite clear: women can manipulate men way more easily and get out of it. Men will get called out for it sooner or later. And many times the manipulative women aren't even identified as such. So the number of unreported manipulative female partners in my opinion is way higher than publicly accepted.

I'm really speechless. Women have always manipulated the shit out of me and I barely did anything. It's funny because with my ex, I lost my shit ONCE and got really mad. And all of a sudden she turned into an angel and listened to me. But do we really want to live this way? Why is it always about control? Why can't we support each other in a team? I'm also highly annoyed that whenever relationship problems come up on social media posts, it's always about men not being ready to change for their female partner. It's always about men not being good enough.

Many thoughts, no clear central idea in my post - but is it true that women can more easily manipulate their partners and is the power balance in relationships really strongly in favour of women?
