I've been a barber for 19 years and a cosmetologist for 9 I have women ask all the time if I "know how to cut women's hair" ... oh no my fragile masculinity has been offended lmfao I just say "well we're going to find out"... also as a barber there are certain things I'm not confident in my skills to do and it's my responsibility to relay this to a client so they can go to someone who will give them the results they want.

I used to live next door to a barbershop that was labeled "Afro-Caribbean Barber". I'm very much white. I went in and asked and they cut my hair and just let me know that my type of hair wasn't their specialty. I didn't care as I'm not picky with my hair and honestly I just loved the vibe of their place and I was too lazy to go anywhere else.

If this woman wanted a cut, I don't understand how there is any rational reason to turn her away. Just give her a fucking haircut. I've also gotten my hair cut at fancy women's salons when I was a kid. They didn't turn me away because I was a dude.
