From what I've gathered, almost everyone online seems to agree that dating apps suck. Even outside the redpill community, a lot of normal people on reddit often express their frustration with online dating on places like r/dating_advice. Women seem to hate them because guys just want to hook up, men hate them because only very attractive men seem to have any success, etc. There are lots of valid reasons, many of which I agree with, to dislike online dating. But with that said, I'm beginning to feel like they're my only option. The more traditional ways of meeting women simply aren't viable for me. Most of the ways people usually meet women (through friends, work, uni) just aren't options for me for one reason or another, usually due to a lack of women in those environments. I've been single for years and I won't lie, my physical and emotional needs aren't been met and it's severely affecting my mental health, so admittedly, I'm getting a bit desperate.

With all these considered, would it worth giving dating apps a try? Or would I just be setting myself up for disappointment?
