She REALLY gets it wrong. What she is trying to say is that she wants someone that is willing to stand up to her shit and have a vocal opinion about there differing views.

What she does is gets up and screams and yells and puts up a fit over things that are pretty much retarded. The guy sees this and RUNS.

It is kind of like my view of wife beaters and women. I had a close female friend that kept marrying guys that had WB tatooed on there forheads.
She would introduce me to the guy, I would shake his hand, I would see the tattoo. Then 6 months or so after the wedding, 'WAAAHHHHHH! he is hitting me!'. I would ask her, 'Of course he is hitting you. He has a tattoo on his face. A giant WB. Stands for wifebeater. I didn't say anything because it was pretty fucking obvious when I met him. I figured he was your type or something.'.

She would get mad at me, say things like he has no fucking tattoo. The last guy she married I actually called her out on it. I met the guy. Spent maybe 10 minutes with him. Next day I called her up. 'You do realize he is going to beat the ever living fuck out of you right?' That was the end of our friendship right there. *yes he beat her up. Yes she went through her third divorce.

Anyways, this is like that. Except the tattoo she has isn't WB, it is CC (Crazy Chick). And instead of the guy not seeing the tattoo - they are seeing it. Big huge letters.

She needs to get that tattoo removed if she wants to date decent guys with healthy attitudes towards the opposite sex.

I really have a huge problem with peoples' tendency to take a swipe at others' appearances when they disagree with each other. I mean, this woman is a clueless harpy, and there is plenty reason to hate her views on dating and gender relations as a whole. Is there really a reason that her physical appearance needs to be dragged into it? It seems like the sort of thing somebody falls back on when they have no other arguments to make.

It seems kind of sad. I can well imagine that she got recruited by some gender studies feminist professor back at college, in her early 20s, when she didn't know what the fuck to do with her life. Feminism is not about never being questioned. It's about celebrating the powerful and beautiful virtues of women as well as recognizing and neutralizing patriarchy. That said, I think most women find groveling men unattractive, and I think that is completely compatible with feminism. There is no reason you cannot negotiate where to have dinner, for example, without maintaining full respect for your female partner.

I'm sad that this feminist suddenly speaks for any women who identifies herself with feminist values as well. My boyfriend is a feminist, but he certainly doesn't try to prove himself by putting me on some sort of pedestal. The men she describes in the article are NOT feminist, to me they sound more like they are overcompensating for their ideas that all women need to be idolized due some sort of constant misogyny by other males.

The rest of her responses have to do with how guys want her as a trophy rather than as a person. The guys want an easy girl who isn't going to disagree with them. How does anyone think this is a bad thing?

Her last sentence is rather weird and I would be interested to hear her clarify it.

Also, the article pokes at her weight a couple of times, which is lowest-common-denominator shit.
