Your league is what you can get. Men and women value different things so naturally dating in your league or “level” doesn’t mean a perfect match on all characteristics

More importantly, study after study shows that unattractive people consistently overrate themselves than more attractive people. If you think you are average and not getting any attention from average women THEN YOU PROBABLY ARENT AVERAGE

I have dated so many average looking men, and no hate as Im pretty average and I was attracted to them which is all I care about, and there were 3 who thought they were absolute Chads with looks. Of course, this view of themselves came out 3-6 months into our relationships.

I distinctly remember once one of these guys, right before I broke it off with him, we went to a fair and some random guy said bluntly to my bf's face "Is this your gf? She is too hot for you" and how mad he got. He always thought he was the more attractive one, would criticize my looks and get defensive if someone said anything about his. I cherish that memory with the look on his face.

Not necessarily. The problem is that there are some short, chubby, balding guys with dead end jobs and crappy attitudes that think they’re attractive and can’t figure out why they’re not getting what they think they deserve.

Then they rant online ad nauseam about all of the reasons that it’s someone else’s fault.

It’s actually funny because sometimes they will even try to say that they are too good looking or treat women too well and that’s why they don’t succeed🤣.

Those are the guys who really aren’t as attractive as they think they are…

Ok i agree that beauty is more objective than the numbskulled perspective of "every woman has different perspectives " and thats the end of thr story as if attraction amongst women js a fucking flat topology or some shit. But....how do you measure you measure this in relation to dating? It's going to be your average sexual success or ease of access to getting relationships.

You can be the most attractive man in the world at the end of the day you will still just be a man and nothing more.

I notice a lot of men will get a girlfriend and then receive interest from maybe one other girl and suddenly think they look like Logan Paul or some shit. A lot of this is just due to the fact that they lived in such relative smv/rmv poverty before that such a situation feels like massive upgrade.

I think it is more like, "your SMV is probably not as high as you think it is." Cause market really dictates value. I guess this isn't talked about as much these days on PPD, but RMV for guys is higher than SMV. SMV may be close to nonexistent for many guys. Looks isn't everything to one's mate value.

Also, different people have different accuracies regarding their self-evaluation.

Also, this doesn't account for variance - I might rate myself a 7, but some girls rate me a 5.5 and others 8+.

Are you your average attractiveness among all raters?

Are you the top 20% of your ratings?

Maybe you're only as hot as the girl you think are hot think you are?

None of these numbers strike me as the same.

Truly attractive men know, yes. But that doesn’t mean mid and unattractive guys don’t think they are 6-7a when they are 4-5s.

And yes, your level is what you can get. Just like the value of your money, goods, or services is determined by the market. People have an extremely hard time rating themselves accurately. Attractive guys know they’re attractive because they get women.

I do not know whether the amount of personality disorders such as narcissism are particularly high hear (very likely, actually) or whether this is just fan fiction, but I can't count the amount of comments here that were along the lines of "I am super attractive/easily a 8.5/10/I have everything a woman wants" followed by "and yet I am a virgin/I don't get any matches on tinder" etc. And I am not sure I know of anyone in real life who is attractive whoc can't get laid on a pretty regular basis. So yeah, no idea where these men get their wisdom from but it doesn't seem to come from empirical evidence.

I do not consider myself attractive now because I am overweight and wear it in my face, and I have lost my hair. But when I was younger in college I didn't think I was attractive then either, but I got a lot of indisputable evidence otherwise from some attractive women. Not all women, but some liked the way I looked, so it is true not all women like the same thing. Funny thing is, men always told me I was ugly lol.

Some men that are attractive have issues with seeing other flaws that a stranger may not see. Some attractive men never get approached or complimented.
