Crazy that she feels comfortable admitting she wouldnt bring money or a card and scheme for men to buy her drinks lol i dont approach women but i once had a woman come up to me at a bar and open with: "are you gonna buy me a drink?" I said "why dont you buy me a drink?" She got all pissed off and we started bickering, it was kinda fun though. That same night i got kicked out of a bar because my shirt said "fuck the westboro baptist church", they said my shirt cant say "fuck". A fucking bar kicked me out because "bad words" lol

Maybe I’m like subhuman ugly, but I’ve rarely ever gotten free drinks in the US? I feel like this is something that doesn’t happen as much as people think, unless a woman is very attractive and/or really working to fish for them. This just seems like rage bait. Entitled Stacy’s experience of the world doesn’t reflect most women’s any more than fuckboy Chad’s reflects most men’s.

I remember when I went to Australia. The women were far kinder than in America and way less entitled.

Many times in the US a girl has gotten mad at me for not paying for her food or not driving her around.

In Australia never had any of those experiences. Highly recommend.

As a Canadian woman who visited Australia, I didn't want guys to buy me free drinks there anyways. Where I'm from in Canada, we'd buy each other drinks and there would be no expectations beyond that. We'd use it as an opportunity to socialize and get to know somebody new. Occassionally something romantic might happen but there was largely no sexual expectations if a man bought you a drink and you accepted.

That being said, if a man bought me a drink and if they weren't absolutely creeps (ie, sexually harassing women, getting upset over whatever little inconvenience, being aggressive, etc.)I'd buy him one back every time. So everything was largely reciprocal or if I wasn't there to drink (designated driver) I'd return the drink or offer it to a friend and thank the giver.

This idea that there's so much moral putrage over buying someone a drink is crazy. If you don't like it, don't buy women drinks. Problem solved.

Idk I’m American in Australia and when I’m as still single and going to Clubs I had lots of drinks bought for me. This was about 7 years ago though before I was with my ex

I'm Canadian and men here are more passive too. American men are definitely a breath of fresh air - they're far more masculine, assertive, and know what they want. I find that hot. Also tbh they tend to be hotter (although... French Canadian men are elite looks-wise).

That said, I have never expected men to just pay for my drink. It's nice when they do it but it's not an expectation, so my perspective is different. I do think it's weird when men don't even try to approach though, but it's more and more of a norm in some cultures like Canadian and Australian... but those guys are just gonna attract masculine women. If that's what you're into, cool lol. I like my men more masculine than me.
