"What are you studying?" "What do you do for a living?" or some variation thereof.

In my experience that means you're done; does not matter if she looks goofy or conventionally attractive; by the time she asked you that you're not going to get far. Now it's one thing to ask that after intimacy but if it comes up fast it's a death blow.

If she wanted to spend time with you and get intimate, she would not put pressure on you like it was a job interview but instead asked you about your interests.

In one particular case some years ago I was gathering strength to go to a night venue in the summer. A woman emerged on a scooter and we started talking. She asked me about my career, I answered her honestly and asked if she would like to tell me about hers. She promised to do just that, then she received a call from her friend and disappeared into the crowd looking back at me nonchalantly with no intention of following up on her promise.

Another case was where I met a woman I knew from a former hobby and she posed the same question. Some time later my birthday was approaching, we were friends on social media and I messaged her asking if she would like to go somewhere. She answered late, never gave a belated birthday wish or anything and ultimately just deleted me after a semi-formal response that came with a smiley. She was not at all impressed or moved by the invitation.
