This is genuinely a question I’ve wanted to ask for a while since I’m been on this subreddit because I have never found anyone ( man or woman ) who is similar to me in this sense yet.

What I mean by my title is, does anyone else feel like they don’t fit at all into the supposed “nature” of their gender?

I’m a woman for context and when I first started getting into internet culture especially around men and women debates I found I never quite fit the mold men described all women as being like. I found it confusing that an entire gender was supposed to have a “nature” to them. Like everyone just acted a certain way because of their chromosomes.

I don’t want to make a “i’m not like other girls post” that’s not my point. I do have more stereotypically “masculine” interests, mentalities and goals I guess. This isn’t really a nature vs nurture thing because I wasn’t raised in a way that forced me to be more masculine I’m just like that I guess? I always wanted to do the yard-work, electrical work, and be strong with my dad.

These “pill” debates rely so heavily on the true nature of the genders, but what if none of those apply to you? Am I just supposed to accept that I’m some weird hybrid minority or do I just never see other people like this talking openly??

I feel ostracized from the female community because I’m not like them and from the male community because they immediately assume I’m a stereotypical woman.

It’s very frustrating. It makes me feel like I can’t find a partner because I’m not like a woman should be. I need to know if others have this experience
