I think the not dissimilar thing is somewhat true. What makes us act different is that we're put in different situations. Women get a lot more attention.

I worked in a high school once. EVERY girl was in love with me. If a girl told me I was handsome, it was like 'yeah, whatever, what else is new?', and sort of boring.

Now when a girl tells me that I'm handsome, it feels great.

If you were hit on with the same lame lines over and over again, you'd probably act a lot like a hot girl.

also if you are in a group notice where people position their feet if someone is attracted to you they will subconciously point their feet towards you.Our feet point where we want to go.

In a way the whole art of seduction is based on the Franklin effect. Check out the related Foot-in-the-door technique. You start with something small and you progressively ask for more with the idea that it's more likely they will say yes to bigger stuff once they have said yes to smaller stuff.

I'm really glad to see someone on here say that men and women aren't really that dissimilar. Especially so when you see guys that are able to be fun, and meet other guys no problem, but when it comes to women, they're some complex, mysterious puzzle, that you need to know ever intricacy of, before you can even hope to solve them. I don't know where this idea comes from. Everybody likes someone that's fun and self assured, whether it be men, or women.

I disagree. Nobody wants to be told anything. Saying the words is so easy that the words themselves have no real value.

Plus, every girl is told she's pretty. Fat, ugly girls are told they're pretty. When they don't get is guys buying them drinks, and generally fawning over them. What they don't get is effort.

Be adventurous and have fun while going out. Don't feel like talking to girls is a hassle or a chore. It's not. It's fucking awesome and fun even if you get rejected! As long as you go out for the sole purpose of having fun, it doesn't matter if girls reject you or not, you'll still have fucking blast! And if you do have fun, girls will be attracted to that.

If you are at a bar and a woman comes in and sits down alone, if she occasionally looks up from her drink/food and glances around the room, she is there to meet someone new. Not necessarily a ONS (though maybe), but she's sending signals that she'd like some guy to come talk to her. Introduce yourself.

This is not the only time you can/should cold approach, but if you see a woman doing this, she WANTS someone to approach. Give her what she wants.

To expand on the first one, an easier and effective way of knowing who likes who is look at where their feet are pointing. People give their attention to who they're attracted to, the feet will point right to that person.

"Hey!! Want to grab a drink? You buy the first round and I'll get the next round!"

seems a lot like the ben franklin effect in terms of doing favors? this for me works like a charm, and it almost guarantees that the girl will be drinking at least two drinks. Also, a few times a girl has declined the 2nd glass of beer, and i choose not to buy the 2nd one for myself. Win! hahaha

And often it appears as though the thing which also separates some people the most is a dedication to the gender roles they were raised upon! If you can acclimate yourself back into a human being, you really see how pointless such dedication is!

Want some easy pre-selection proof? Buy a stick of lipstick. Put it on. Kiss the collar of the shirt you are about to wear out, make it look messy, like an accident. Little smudges work well, not big obvious full lip smacks (more believable, and girls will always notice). Wash off lipstick. All night, girls will think that you've already had a female kissing all over you.

Alternatively, take a pen and write a phone # on your arm, followed by a good female name (obv. in girly looking handwriting): Ashley, Jelena, whatever. Maybe even a little <3 by it. Same effect. If you are bold, put several, in different handwriting styles. Girls will add their name to the list.
