Newsflash, if an average women thinks average men are below her looksmatch, chances are she's delusional. This is RP men have said numerous times that dating apps and easy access to sex with Chads have inflated the average modern woman's ego to the point where she thinks she's entitled to above average men, and any less is perceived as settling.

The issue isn't that there aren't enough attractive men on these apps. The issue is that when average women consistently match with men way above their level, who are mostly looking for sex as you yourself stated, it skews the perception of their own level. So now they only want the Chads they can't keep, and actively avoid the average men who are actually interested in them.

When you say "hard for women" you actually mean "it takes time to swipe left on all the men women don't like and talk to all the men until they can be filtered out for not being good matches". There ARE men with careers, grooming, emotional intelligence and relationship goals on the apps, and women DO match with them and they DO get into relationships with them. This is not hard, it's time consuming.

It's HARD for men, as in: 60% of men on dating apps cannot get a relationship with a woman from the app, just for the sex ratio alone. It's hard as in: most men do not even get a chance to show their emotional intelligence and relationship qualities, because they are filtered out at the height and attractiveness level. It's HARD for men, as compared to women, because instead of getting ego pushes from being liked and desired by so many people of the opposing sex, men are faced with an absolute lack of desire and ego enhancing interaction. Dating apps are soul crushing for the majority of men, and not by their fault, but for how women use the apps.

Nothing about dating apps is HARD for women.

Unless a man has virtually no appeal in the dating market, all men look to verify sexual access before evaluating a woman for relationship material. If 80% 'are just looking for sex' this actually means 80% of the men who have sex with you don't see you as on their level for a relationship.

And I think we found the problem, OP overestimates their attractiveness. The average woman is a 5, just like the average man. Makeup doesn't change your actual appearance, it's just putting on a temporary attractive face which will be gone in the morning, just in time for a man to judge your appearance after sex.

But there's a reason. Look at it from the guy's point of view:

If they pursue a relationship it's a lot of effort and very expensive, with very uncertain and sporadic results. So the effort/reward ratio is not good.
If they just pursue something casual, the effort is very low, and very cheap. And even if the results are very sporadic, the effort/reward ratio is much better than pursuing a relationship.

That's why we have the present status of things.

You’re being intentionally obtuse. I’ll let you try to explain my situation when I was on the apps.

Maybe 3 matches a week. Sometimes none for a couple of weeks. Many single moms. Most that did match never sent a message or replied to mine. I’d get a date about every three months, with the majority ghosting me after. The last date I went on before my current girlfriend lasted 3 hours at a bar. She was engaged and very talkative. She initiated a kiss at the end of the night before we parted ways. Then I never hear from her again.

Onto my stats-

White, 6’1”, full head of hair. I always dress well. I have a bachelors degree and am in the process of completing my MBA. Live alone in a nice downtown apartment, have a career level occupation. Make 90 grand a year. I’m a good communicator and ask a lot of questions. I’m in management in a blue collar field so it comes naturally. I have a deep voice, people always point it out. I could stand to lose 15 pounds but I’m on the taller side so it’s not obvious. I do some light weightlifting and have decent muscle mass/frame. I’ve never been married and have no kids and no real debt other than my one car. Traditionally masculine hobbies, and I can fix or build most things. I always discuss parts of this on dates when asked.

Still, hardly ever got any traction. I could tell that a few of them didn’t even want to be there, which was extremely odd. Why even come out? And that was when I could get them, which was rare.

Women are simply unrealistic. I did the work, saw it for myself, and you won’t convince me otherwise.

maybe stop using dating apps and try dating people you meet through your social circle, hobbies, volunteering etc. or if you do use the apps, don't go for the most conventionally attractive men that all the other women swipe on and who clearly aren't on the apps to meet their mrs. right.

I love using dating apps and social media to date. I never ever date random cold approachers or people from social circle nor do I have to put myself in miserable social situations to date.
