I think you're pedestalizing women. The things you mention are nice, but you wouldn't be singing praises about them if women leveraged them for the resources they need to live.

Like with everything in life, there are conditions. I wouldn't just say all women are born amazing. Would you say that about all men? Some are amazing and some aren't.

Point 1 - Emotional support

Assuming you're with a woman who isn't going to get the ick from you crying because you lost your job and are under a lot of stress. Or not with a woman who has some arbitrary expectation of what's acceptable for men to show.

Point 2 - Validation, internally and externally

So if a guy gets rejected by 9 women and the tenth one likes him, that counts towards all women giving men validation in general? That's pretty situational. Also, both men and a women provide validation to their partners in a relationship. That's not a gendered perk

Point 3 - Companionship

Again, all humans can provide this, that's not a gendered perk. By this logic, both men and women are equally amazing because you're just listing off general benefits anyone gets from being in a relationship.

I’m curious, do you think they do this in a way that’s different than it is for men? I’m wondering if you feel it’s gendered or just what partners in a romantic relationship should do for each other.

As a guy I hope I’d do all those things for my partner, but if I’m not able to do it in the same way for any reason, I’d want to appreciate what she does for me more.

Finally, who is ultimately responsible for emotional regulation? The individual? Or their partner?

No, I disagree with your statements, most women I've known were either alright like most people or extremely callous and egoistical but nowhere near particularly amazing like you say.

From my experience women seem to care about other people as much they matter in their lives and have no problem to drop or dunk on them when difficulties are coming up instead of working on it, whether it's from them or not, which make them unreliable because they know they can and will bailout whenever they feel like.

The only emotional "support" I had from women where from my mother, sister and a woman I had unrequited love issues with her but even then sometimes it felt like they were trying to save the image of women rather then help me or managed to problems I faced about them (as women) than me but I won't blame them since at least they took the time to listen and understand unlike most women came across.

So no I really fail to see why you would put women on such high pedestal when most of them have done next nothing, if not the exact opposite to deserve it.

The best behavior to have with them would be to treat as you treat your fellow m'en.

Nothing against women at all, but I have to be honest - as I man I have rarely received emotional support from women in my family or in relationships. It’s always been female friends that offer emotional support, which is why I advocate for men to cultivate platonic friendships with certain women in their lives. I’m sure some men have supportive SO’s and female family members, but it seems like the majority of us don’t get that from intimate relationships because the women who are invested in us just aren’t emotionally equipped to see their man/brother/son vulnerable - conflating vulnerability with weakness.

Counterpoint 1 - The widespread popularity of the Tea app. The Tea App's #1 position in the app store is, under no uncertain terms, widespread failure of specifically women to apply consent.

Counterpoint 2 - The defenders of the Tea app claim the point of the app is for "safety". But this was gaslighitng even before the leaks proved that to be super false. It is clearly a dating website where women can browse prospective partners whose personally identifiable information has been collected and organized into profiles containing outrageously personal details usually of a sexual nature all without these individuals' knowledge or consent. To defend this vile behavior under the perverse guise of "safety" doesn't seem very "amazing" to me.

I have no counterpoint 3. It feels like women have made tolerating a human rights violation a prerequisite to entering the dating scene and I will have no part of it.

My husband has an aggression driven male dominated career, and every single day, he comes home, lays his head in my lap, wraps his arms around me, and takes 5 minutes to just decompress. All day, he has to be assertive, dominating, commanding, loud, and hard. He loves his job, but when he comes home, every single day, he lays in my lap for head scratches and kisses. I tell him about my day. Maybe it's work, or kids, or a cool science article I read. I just talk to him, tell him how amazing he is, and he says hearing my voice brings him peace. He is what many men in here would consider a man's man. But in our home, in the quietness of our walls, he would be called a "simp" because I bring him softness, kindness, peace, kisses, and praise simply for being the amazing man he is.

I have as many female friends as male friends and at a 1 on 1 level truthfully enjoy being around women more. That being said, there are also many straight up awful women and some ‘archetypes’ of women are indeed horrible (just like men)

Good women are amazing but rare. I'm saying this a straight women who has struggled to make good women friends. Most are extremely fake and superficial lacking depth. Men are a different story as to why but I would say good ones are rare as well.
