They don't need us. They want us, for things like sex and domestic labor. They want our warm presence. They want us to provide them with peace. They crave our validation, desire, and "respect" (though they have a great deal of trouble defining that one). And they resent us for not wanting to be bubbling founts of these things, whether they do anything to merit them or not.

Men constantly asserting themselves “proves” insecurity is a false equivalence. By that logic, feminists writing daily about patriarchy must also secretly doubt women’s equality. Speaking up isn’t insecurity.

Men responding to “men are trash” isn’t obsession; it’s pushback against slander. If women generalize negatively about men, men have every right to challenge it just like any group would when stereotyped. Just like how black people don't like racism. Men don't like misandry. What a shock lol.

The idea that men “need women more than women need men” ignores the fact men are the ones who build the society women benefit from. The same society that allow you post this post. Since men created the internet.

Painting male validation-seeking as weakness is selective. Women openly admit to craving male attention (social media, dating apps, pop culture) without it being framed as insecurity. This is a double standard.

The MGTOW argument is oversimplified. Many in that movement genuinely disengage from women due to frustration with legal systems, dating dynamics, or personal experiences, not just because they secretly want women to “run back.”

Hatred is not unique to men. Women express resentment too, look at online spaces openly hostile to men. To single out men’s frustrations as inherently pathological while excusing women’s is intellectual dishonesty.

The “man vs bear” example proves nothing. Memes are not deep philosophy. Men pushed back because it caricatured them as predators, not because they’re insecure—it’s natural to object when your entire sex is framed as dangerous.

In the end, labeling men’s responses as proof of fragility is circular reasoning. Men speak up → therefore insecure. But silence would be called complicity. By that logic, men lose either way—a textbook no-win framing.

Man vs Bear is a bad example. I understand what women are communicating, but the facts of the hypothetical are stupid. You sound stupid when you just say Bear. Change “walk in the wilderness with” to “get on an elevator with.”

Revealed preferences: I am a tall man who likes to walk, even in the dark. I live in the suburbs, but near downtown and wilderness. I walk in these 3 environments multiple times each week. Strange women regularly walk a few feet behind me. Strange women regularly allow me to walk behind them as we pass multiple businesses or parks with crowds. On multiple occasions, I have come across a strange(r) woman at the top of hills in wilderness parks. The woman warns me that a coyote was stopped between them and the parking lot. The women will walk with me to have a human to protect them from a 40 pound dog. When a bear came into my neighborhood, the women didn’t continue on their planned path of travel for their morning walks.

Many young men who have never been in a deadly encounter have watched war movies and imagined glory and excitement against aliens/nazis/the empire. When a man decides to bring the room back to reality, only the dumbest or most stubborn men refuse to acknowledge that life is better when your colleagues aren’t being killed, and that victory would likely mandate the worst day or years of your life. That war medals aren’t like a championship trophy, which reminds you of a series of disproportionate good days. If they still stick to their claim, we ask why they haven’t enlisted. We all understand the boredom of daily life, the desire for excitement & glory. 90% of us can admit it’s a fantasy that we enjoy, but no we don’t actually want the consequences. A woman who keeps choosing bear sounds like a guy who is saying he would rather invade Iraq than commute to work in a car, then describes a world star road rage incident.

I've always believed this. Look at the lengths most men go to for female validation. Pumping iron at the gym, joining hobbies they don't enjoy or organisations they don't believe in, buying meals at restaurants and drinks at bars they can't afford... For what? For the satisfaction of knowing a random woman thinks you're attractive enough to fuck at least once. Wow. What a payoff that must be.

And look what happens when the tap of female validation is turned off! "There's no point in getting a job or an education or taking care of my health or becoming a contributing member of society because nobody is there to reward my efforts by jumping on my dick. So I will waste my life feeling bitter about my inceldom dreaming up ways to subjugate women rather than simply finding another source of motivation in my life."

Well, yeah. In their personal lives, Men need women far more than women need men. Women have significant economic and social power in their ability to create and raise new copies of men. Men cannot do that. For eons men used social and economic controls to ensure women needed men as much as they need women and now that women are able to birth AND have a bank account, men feel less relevant or important or needed.

The thing is, even women say things like “domestic labor” like it’s some irrelevant and unimportant thing, but it’s framed to sound that way on purpose. The opposite of it would be external labor. Energetic output outside of the home. Without it inside the home, people would live in filth and go hungry. It’s not unimportant. It’s vital. If your home is out of order, your life is out of order.

The only reason domestic labor became an unequal match to external labor was because the currency changed from energetic effort (talents, skills and trade thereof) to a fake false (and failing!) monetary currency. Value was taken from human energy exchange and placed on fake money.

It’s these same “framers” that created the man vs bear question. These things don’t come up out of no where. They are created and algorithms are designed to hit the right eyes and create just the right buzz to reach the right eyes- these are not spontaneous conversation. None of them are. Not the “hot button issues” or the buzz words are created by people.

So I would have to say that neither men nor women are superior. Humans are largely drones now. Not acting, but reacting by precise prompts, reciting scripts, and feeling on command. Humans are in a fully reactionary cycle day after day. Every new concept is digitally brought to them and they react over and over again. It’s the most inferior you can be.

Men need women and women need men. It’s pretty much that simple. As humans, our primary instinctual drive beyond mere survival is reproduction. It’s written in our code. Women can pretend life would be great without men, and men can pretend life would be great without women — but it’s pure fiction and utter silliness.

I assume you’re against sexism — at least towards women? But this post is sexist. It assumes men to be these hateful, obsessive, self-obsessed creatures. It’s basically just a female-centric version of a sexist incel rant.

To your last point - Thinking thoughts is a good start, But then think critically about it before posting. I assume you’re young, so I’ll go light, but this post is definitely not intelligent. That’s not it works, not all men are reasonable.

If the majority men were genuinely superior than women as a whole then it would be self evident - there would be no reason to convince others of the fact.

That’s also not how it works. Not all men are reasonable and it’s not self-evident.

You see it a lot: men's influencers online "debunking" claims from women that men are trash or men are cruel or men are lazy. If men were truly so brilliant as they say they are what would they care for the opinions of random women online? The fact that they care so much betrays a deep insecurity, it shows that their superiority over women is not a solid fact even to themselves. We are affected more by negative opinions if have a grain of truth.

The fact that some insecure men get lots of views online doesn’t prove anything.

Men are obsessed with women. I think this is obvious: men place a lot of stock in the attitudes and opinions of women. I think most straight men, whether they want to admit it or not, crave attention and validation from women.

Men and women are very beneficial to each other psychologically. Men and women are both like that.

They need women much more than women need men.

Those insecure men need women much more than women need insecure men. But that doesn’t say anything about how much men and women need each other.

Hatred makes you obsessed with the object of your anger: it is not a light emotion, it makes you have a headache and all worn out. Hatred is always born from some pain, some suffering that needs something to attack even if it is an effigy. Truly healthy people would hate the least.

The idea that men depend on women’s validation is delusional. Men are not obsessed with proving anything to women. Men built the world you live in without needing applause from strangers online. When men push back against being called lazy, cruel, or trash, that is not insecurity - it is self-respect. No one just sits quietly while being insulted.

Women are the ones who openly chase validation every day through selfies, likes, and endless posts. Men go to the gym to follow a plan and better themselves, not to beg for attention. The respect men value comes from themselves and from other men, not from random comments.

As far as sexism ... Men just are stronger. Any man on the street could basically do whatever he wants with any woman. He doesn't, because of social convention and how we've advanced as a society as far as equal rights. Women who make these arguments often seem to forget that reality and take it for granted. But sexism is left over view from that truth.

It's actually very self-evident. Society during the developing stages was highly patriarchal. Do you think that just happened by chance, or perhaps because the nature of both genders dictated which one would emerge as the leader/dominant one?

It wasn't until recently that society evolved past that primitive mindset and men made the conscious decision to let women have some rights. How can it possibly be more self-evident than what we saw naturally occur? 😂
