In my experience, formerly promiscuous women being shunned for marriage is just a revenge fantasy. Unless she lives in a small town and doesnt want to move away, guys have no way of knowing a woman's past, and all that experience will make her better at attracting and vetting men. The biggest sluts I knew from high school are all married. Most of the "good girls" had a harder time.

The main reason promiscuous men aren't shamed as much is because most women arent as into casual sex as most men, so consistently getting laid with different women is impressive. To fuck lots of guys a woman just has to be willing open her legs.

I have a body count between 15-20 and it’s pretty much never been a problem for me when trying to find dates. I am also brown and I’ve had guys of all races including brown guys interested in dating me. When I was in college and on dating apps, it was mostly to find fwbs and I actually ran into quite a few guys who ended up wanting to date/become exclusive after fucking around with me for a couple of months. Anyways, I ended up saying yes to dating one of those fwbs and now he’s my husband lol. He’s a “high value” man (6ft, blond, blue eyes, gym rat, MD resident) and he’s still obsessed with me. Even when I look absolutely ragged at night. So I feel like the whole notion of promiscuous women not finding long term relationships is kind of overused. Plus most of my other “promiscuous” sorority sisters and friends are also all either engaged or married by now too

Women can get laid easier than men. Those men who can get hookups are usually attractive and high value.

That being said, I understand the standard that it goes both ways. It's why I don't sleep around. I don't want my future partner to sleep around, so why should I? All this about "well he's a KEY that opens many LOCKS" is just bullshit. If you look around on Reddit you will find women complaining and stressing about their husband/boyfriend having slept with a lot of women, just like men complain and stress about finding out their wife/girlfriend.

Women do care about their men's sexual past. Most people do.

how do you not see how easy this logic can be flipped “if men don’t want women to be sluts they could collectively just not have sex with them until marriage. why don’t women feel pressure to conform to modesty? because men are cake eaters who would rather fuck a women and call them sluts after than exhibit abstinent behaviors to prevent slutism.” personally, i don’t think either of our conclusions follow these premises.

the critical response to the sexual double standard is that it’s sexist and harmful (and that’s something people of either gender can and do criticize, not just women), much like double standards that negatively impact men. the only people, again of either gender, that i see defending sexist double standards like the sexual double standard are people who seem either personally insecure or ideologically insecure about their ideal masculine/feminine roles slowly losing the culture war.

women like sex, enough men are eager to have it with them, so sex will always happen. most importantly, that can happen without the sex being risky aka it can be health-neutral and not harmful at all. what is harmful is shaming people for expressing their natural sexuality in non-harmful ways. and the subjectivity of it all goes to show how ridiculous it is, there are people whose idea of appropriate slut shaming includes shaming women for having one hook up in college or for having premarital sex. slut shamers all have a different bar based on their own preferences, and none of them consider the possibility that they’re misjudging a given individual. that’s the only thing worth criticizing on this subject. (same with the flip side of slut shaming which is virgin shaming men; are we both on the same page that that’s wrong? and are we on the same page as to why? that it’s shaming someone’s non harmful behavior and turning them into self loathers when they might otherwise be totally fine and healthy with their situation?)

The vast majority of people that have sex before marriage don’t have trouble getting married. This is a revenge fantasy for pill subreddits.

There’s no objective standard for what makes someone promiscuous. Women en masse don’t need to do anything because it’s up to the individual about what they are looking for in a potential spouse.

I personally wouldn’t date a man who slept around before marriage but those are my individual values. I wouldn’t shame anyone who chooses to live a different lifestyle than I do, I just wouldn’t date them.

With all due respect, it is completely wrong to say that "promiscuous" women are being avoided by men who "require values", lol.
It can happen that when I am in love with a boyfriend and in another town, I'll wear miniskirts while going out, not because I wanna cheat on him but because it feels always nice to be desirable and wanted. I'm average-looking but you cannot imagine the number of guys who try to hit on me, some of them are respectful but other don't even know what the word "consent" means.
So that's the contrary: men are so PROMISCUOUS and so obsessed by sex that drives their whole inner being that they feel frustrated to remain sexless most of the time and feel resentment against us because it's a lot easier for us to get sex if we want.
However, the sex we can easily get is very often not worth it, eating a bar of chocolate may be a more pleasurable experience ;-)

It’s not that men need to be formerly promiscuous to have "value", it’s just that men who are socially, emotionally and intellectually stimulating often garner a higher body count and interact with more women overall. But if you had a guy who is like that but is actually a virgin or has slept with 2 people, pretty much zero women would have issues with that

IME, men talk a lot of shit about wanting "low bodycounts" etc, but I've never had it be an issue in actual dating, and I've always been transparent about my past. (I've been told my reputation is for being very picky, which cracks me up, because while that is true, I'm certainly not chaste.)

That kind of insecurity mostly seems to go to those who have some really solid reasons to be insecure.

This whole convo is a very good example of what matters in our society. "Cool attractive" people do not currently worry themselves about this. All the actors, athletes, and jet setters simply do as they please and enjoy the fact that the peanut gallery can weigh in all they want, but they're just jealous.

Men who can sleep around do so, and hot young women move about in those crowds. I do think(hope) it's shallow and that they will eventually rue the fact that they didn't spend their time creating something. But in the mean time, people with money and things want desirable people around and thus give then money and things. Beautiful people want other beautiful people around and so they are accommodated.

I'm sure many of them come to terms with it later on and could show up here to give a regretful answer to your question. The issue is, how many successive generations will simply do it all over again. Beautiful wealthy people are living the life, and we are just coping unless we have some real deep answer or a plan on how to change it. What sort of society would we have if all the people having free attractive sex were well read? Makes you think.
