A common critique is that TRP is just taking advantage of lonely men, yet the same people that make this claim never criticize the sex industries that primarily target lonely male consumers.

And its not just "both things can be true", its that most of these people actively defend the dealers of these services, they portray sex workers and creators as the victims, and even potentially demonize the consumer.

  • We've all seen it, whenever theres a discussion about sex work, they all emphasize how important it is for it to be ethical on the side of the worker, yet dont give two shits about the lonely men who are paying for pussy, many even argue it benefits these men
  • They don't care that all these lonely men are gifting subs to twitch thots and gooning away (many of these viewers who are also underage boys btw).
  • Dating apps, the men outnumber the women 3 to 1, with 75% of users being men and are the majority of consumers since they have to buy premium subscriptions to get any success, or their free accounts get buried. The designers of these apps, like tinder, have literally admitted to designing it based on gambling studies, they're purposely designed to provide dopamine hits so that you keep swiping
  • Do I even have to explain pr0n? Like think about why step-sister/mom/etc. is so popular, its because these fantasies are more relatable to lonely men, lonely men don't have female friends or dates in their life. Whats more relatable to them? Some socially awkward guy that gets caught jerking off by their (step) female family member. NOT the guy actually going on a date and getting lucky at the end of the night. And its pushed by the industry, so much so that its a stereotype of the industry now, and is part of mainstream meme culture. -("woah, what are you doing step bro??")

In comparison, how is TRP taking advantage of lonely men?

  • Products and services that some RP influencers sell, like courses, coaching, and club memberships. Granted of course their target consumers are lonely men. Though consider:
    • that their product/service is NOT some consumable, its not a dopamine hit, its not an addiction, its information and lessons, at the end of the day these men can evaluate whether its working or not, and decide whether they want to keep paying
    • what they're selling literally has the purpose of turning the lonely male consumer to not being lonely, its not a model thats built to keep them a life long consumer
    • only a small fraction of RP audience are consumers of these services, the industry and profit margins are not very big. There are maybe a dozen Tates that are making good money off this, but there are hundreds of OF models that are making F-You money off these men
  • They are getting the lonely men to endlessly consume their (free) content?
    • this isn't unique to TRP influencers, you need to provide some entertainment if you want people to listen to what you have to say and the information you provide
    • ultimately the information and message they are trying to provide is conveying the reality of intersexual dynamics, again to convert lonely men to not being lonely
    • I will admit, there are a lot of grifters in the manosphere who don't provide value, and just put out useless slop, thats basically not very different to the porn and twitch thots. I'm not defending all the content creators, I'm explaining the principle itself is not cheating lonely men. Though if THIS is your actual argument, then your issue is NOT with TRP, its with slop creators
  • Everything you need to know is all out there for free on TRP communities. TRP is basically just men exchanging notes, and it started off on forums. Everything you need to know are on these forums already. So you don't even need to rely on the influencers.

So which is it? Do you care about lonely men?

If so, you should have more energy towards industries that literally exploit lonely men for profits and aim to KEEP them lonely, and advocate for them to be banned

If not, then retire this argument against TRP
