Hello everyone. I hope y’all are doing well. I know this is probably more dependent on the individual woman but I’m curious to see this subreddit’s responses. Male responses are also welcome if you have any personal experience with a scenario like this

I’ve heard from women(especially tall women) I know searching that they like being with taller men because they like how taller men make them feel very “feminine”, “cute”, and “petite”. They say that being with a taller man makes them feel protected and that a taller man appears more masculine and dominant.

But let’s say you are a woman who has an 82nd percentile height(5’6). If you were evaluating an average height man(5’9) and a tall man(6’2) who both have similar physiques,

How does being 6’2 significantly enhance a man’s physical attractiveness for women who are 5’6 and shorter if the 5’9 guy is already at least a solid 3 inches taller than 82% of women? Wouldn’t facial attraction be much more important?

I think being over 6 feet is significantly overrated and really only helps with women who are about 5’7(90th percentile)and taller. That’s only 10% of women.

I can understand a 5’8 woman significantly preferring a 6’2 man. But that’s the 96th percentile for a woman’s height. But since the 82nd percentile for a woman’s height in America 5’6, most men should easily be able to meet the ideal height requirements for most women(at least 2-4 inches taller than them).
