Wife and I were close to finishing mediation after 6 months. She makes 3 times my salary.

Negotiations started with her saying she did not want to pay child support and she only wanted me to have the kids every other weekend. I am getting bought out of the house and she is keeping it. We have two young kids 6 and 8.

Eventually we worked out way up to the state mandated child support (minus her yearly bonus), joint custody, buyout of the house +50,000 extra.

I showed it to my attorney one last time and she said no way. She recommended a percent of her bonus as true-up at the end of each year, said the house appraisal was way too low and included 40k in closing costs that are not needed since it’s a buyout, recommended that I get an extra 80,000 (instead of 50,000) after the buyout to balance out our retirement accounts. This actually balances the accounts out. I have never asked for alimony.

My wife flipped her shit and has terminated mediation. I feel so shitty. I feel like I want to die. I don’t know what to do. Did I fuck up?
